Outdoor RV TV Antenna for Camper, Digital 4K HDTV RV Antenna Roof Mount

I bought this to replace the VHF antenna on my Airstream. I used the existing coax for the connection. My test run picked up 41 channels. I mounted the pedestal and threaded the antenna onto it. There are a lot of threads. When done I only had 25 channels. Thinking maybe I had to much of the existing coax inside the pedestal I threaded the new antenna off, made a new end on the existing coax and threaded the antenna back on. Now it picks up no channels. I am wondering if the wire broke from being twisted so much from threading into the pedestal.

Tried this in 4 different places on my RV roof.

It got EXACTLY the same number of channels as the $9.99 digital antenna I bought from Amazon 2 years ago.

Not a single channel was added, and depending on where I positioned it, got LESS channels many times.

It looks way better than the one I have but it DOES NOT improve reception.

Thankfully I tried it out BEFORE I drilled holes my roof to mount it!

This was easy to install even came with new screws :-)

The factory antenna on my travel trailer was wrecked in a West Texas hailstorm, and this one has been the perfect replacement. I went from getting zero channels to picking up 10 with a clear signal!

Important tip: Connect the coax cable to the antenna first. If you attach the base to your mounting spot before threading the antenna on, you’ll end up twisting the cable and possibly ruining the antenna. I used a right-angle drill to secure the base to the roof after everything was connected — worked perfectly.

When ordering a digital tv antenna,its a gamble.some work better than others,also your tv has alot to do with it.moderen tvs have a built in tv tunner,some are better than others.

When hooking to a tv,you must program/scan for over the air channels.

I first tested indoors on my nice samsung 65",after programming i had zero stations available.

So i grabbed my 12v element 19" rv tv,crudely setup antenna 5ft above ground outdoors,hooked up and scanned.

When the scan was complete i had 30 lical channels.

I tested every channel,let the tv and antenna run on my patio for 6 hours,checked channel again.....all was well.

This antenna is lite,low profile and works well for the price.

With every antenna and tv,if you move to a different location.....scan again.if you swap to a differentvtv.....scan again.

Lots of antenna reviews the user simply hooks up,turns on tv and no channels,or doesent go thru the steps.

Ive been using digital antennas for atleast 5 years,plenty different antennas,amps,ect.

This 1 is worth the money.

Magnetic base was useless on my rubber RV roof. Design is cool but there were only about ten channels of tv which it received and the range of this aerial is pretty bad. Invest in a proper boosted signal aerial for your RV.
