Between osteoarthritis and ehlers-danlos, I hardly sleep. We've had this mattress topper for more than six months and it has definitely helped.

After switching to a new mattress a couple of years ago, we couldn't afford to switch again, so I did research and read reviews on this topper. Glad I did!

It has enough cushion that it helps support my spine, and my hips aren't hurting as bad. The only downside is that you sleep a little bit warmer, but that's expected with anything you add to the bed.

Bonus, it fits deep pockets, aka thicker mattresses! We've also had no problems with it slipping.

My 19-year-old liked it so much that he asked one for Christmas for his twin bed!

Recommend if you're looking for an affordable option when your mattress is failing you!

I bought this because our king mattress is very firm since my husband is a stomach sleeper and needs a firm bed, but I am a back sleeper. It is not ideal for me to sleep on a firm mattress since it causes back pain. I wanted to feel like my back was supported and like I was on a cushy cloud and this topper did exactly that! I am very happy with the way this memory foam is designed. The wavy memory foam gives it height and keeps me cool. The soft cover is a nice addition as well, giving me more cushion that cradles me as I sleep. The twin size topper takes up half of our king bed and it does add 4” of height to my side of the bed, but the sheets still fit over both the memory foam and the cover as well as our mattress. It also is a bit short in length compared to the king, so I just put a pillow between the headboard and the topper to fill the gap. So far this hasn’t been an issue at all when sleeping. The only dislike is the smell. It’s been over a week and the smell of the memory foam still lingers, but this happened with our guest bed memory foam mattress and it went away after a while. I hope that’s what happens with this topper. I also noticed a small dirt spot on the cover but I threw it in the washer and dryer and it washed out just fine and even stayed fluffy. Overall, I am very pleased and have less pain when waking up in the morning! It’s so comfortable to me that I have a hard time not snoozing my alarm in the morning!! I definitely recommend giving it a try.

I was having trouble sleeping because of back pain. I would wake up and my hips and back would hurt so badly I couldn't get comfortable. I spent a week at my daughter's house and her bed was so soft and I didn't wake up in pain. So, I decided I needed to do something about my mattress. It is relatively new, so I didn't want to spend a mint on another mattress. Then I saw that I could purchase a topper for my mattress. There are SO many out there and the price range was anywhere from $30 to $500. I hate sending stuff back, so I always check the reviews before I purchase anything. I saw many reviews about bad smells, warped or flattened toppers, and some that were simply a mattress cover mistakenly named toppers. I was very pleased to find exactly what was described. The box was relatively small considering this was for a king-sized bed, but it was heavy. There was zero smell. The foam unfolded with no issues, and the topper was perfect. The instructions say to put it on the bed and use it straight from the box. Other toppers tell you to let them 'relax' and 'air out' for up to 72 hours before use. No need for this topper. I no longer wake up in pain. My bed is so soft and cozy I look forward to snuggling under the covers. I searched for weeks for the perfect topper, and this is it!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This Sleep Innovations Dual Layer 4 Inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper is very soft and comfortable, and I really love that it comes with a cover—it makes setup and cleaning much easier.

I would have given it a full five stars, but the strong chemical smell when I first opened it was definitely concerning and very off-putting. It did eventually go away, but it was bad enough that I almost removed it altogether.

Once the odor dissipated, though, the topper itself has been great in terms of comfort and support.

This mattress topper saved me! It was definitely time for a new mattress (and whole new bed anyway) and I decided to try one of those mattress in a box deals. I have never had a memory foam mattress before and assumed the "medium" would be fine for me. I was wrong. Though it felt comfortable to lay on after initial expansion, actually sleeping on it was a different story. It was just a tad too firm to the point that I felt like I was sleeping on a flat surface and not snuggling up into a mattress. At first, I tried to be cheap and just get a pillow topper, but that didn't do much so I returned it. Then I tried this combo, and it was PERFECT! I've been sleeping on this topper for a few months now and it has been amazing. It gives me just the right amount of softness and that slight sinking into my mattress before I hit the firmness of my memory foam. It's the perfect combo for me. I haven't had any issues being hot sleeping on the topper, and I started using it in August. As far as trying to make a firm bed softer, this topper is amazing!

I purchased a new memory foam mattress in the past year, I purchased the medium firm version because I didn’t want one that was too soft or too firm and thought that medium would be the obvious choice….IT WASN’T!! My bed was SO HARD that I could only sleep on it for a night or two then I would have to sleep on the couch for a night or two. Every night that I slept on this mattress I would wake up multiple times throughout the night and each time my back would hurt and it actually felt like my organs were hurting (I know that sounds weird but it’s the only way I know to describe it). I could only sleep on my back because if I slept on my side it would hurt my hips and shoulders (I’ve had surgery on my left shoulder and it would make that side hurt exponentially worse) Over the past year I’ve purchased several mattress toppers trying to soften this mattress up but nothing has helped. I was getting ready to buy a whole new mattress and just trash this one when I found this topper and decided to give it one last shot. I’M SO GLAD I DID!! I can now sleep through the night and in any position, even my left side that I had shoulder surgery on. The foam layer is very thick and the pillow topper gives it enough soft cushion to make it feel like you are sleeping on a supportive cloud. It did make my bed quite a bit higher, if I was shorter I may need a stool to get into bed (I’m 5’7”). I recommend this to anyone who complains about back pain or their bed. I believe this would even make a too soft bed better.

I’ve seen some reviews talking about a smell and needing to air it out before using it but I did not experience this issue and I didn’t need to let it expand very long, it was at full height in less than an hour, probably more like 20 minutes.

I was skeptical about if this topper would help with my recently started back pain that went down my leg. I struggled to find a sleeping position that wasn't painful. I thought about giving this topper a try a

because what is there to lose and to my surprise it's really working. I'm able to get into a comfortable position and can sleep through the night and I'm waking up without pain. This was a perfect fit for my queen bed and the quality is great. Also I didn't notice any offgassing.

The memory foam and the fabric cover were nice looking and very comfortable. As some other reviewers noted, the fabric cover fit very well but the foam was smaller than my full bed; so I lined it up even with the top of my mattress and it was about 6” short at the bottom - but not a big deal because I’m shorter than the bed, too! I thought it was just what I was looking for —- except for the terrible chemical smell of the foam. After the odor had not improved after almost a week of airing it out I trashed the foam and kept the nice cover, which I will use with some other memory foam product that doesn’t have an odor.

There was absolutely no indication in the description that this was US sizing - not UK. SO, the item was MASSIVELY too big!

So - lost a star for incorrect description and another 2 for the absolute ball-ache having to repack the b*st*rd thing to send it back for an error that wasn't ours!

Beautiful solution to an overly firm mattress. This four inch foam took the bed from rock hard to comfy cozy!! The little gal whose bed it was, noticed the difference immediately and said, "Why is my bed so soft now?" The only downsize is that it took a couple of weeks for the off-gassing smell from the foam, to dissipate. A bit difficult for anyone who might have asthma. Recommend opening. it and storing it in another room if possible, for a couple of weeks, if you have the luxury of extra space to do that. Would highly recommend the product to anyone needing a similar solution to a hard bed.

It's really comfortable and made a big difference in my sleep quality.

The mattress could be better packaged than to leave the foam bare.

This item arrived and it was not as described/advertised at all. It was not the right size for a KS bed. It hung over the edges. It was cheap foam and sticky to touch. The top layer was paper thin and the seams were so poorly finished there were rips in places. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone so don’t waste your money. Massively disappointing.
