Waggle-more than just a pet monitor! Great customer service too!
Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2026We have owned the Waggle 4G Pet Temperature Monitor for about 3 years. It was originally for use in the RV during camping season so we had a 6 month subscription. When we started going to Florida for a month in the Winter without the RV we switched to a yearly plan so we could keep track of the temperature at the AirBnB when were out. Now we use it at our house to keep track of temps and be alerted in case of a power failure. Waggle gives great peace of mind when you are away from your pet and home!
Recently I had a question about billing and new subscriptions. I called the customer support line and Scott walked me through all my options and made the desired changes for me. A+ for customer service!
We highly recommend this product and the service that Waggle has provided!

Don't waste your money!!
Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2023The temperature reading is off by 15 degrees. See images. We are in the Colorado Mountains all windows open where it is nice and cool, I have a sweater on, no way its 81 degrees here. I am steaming with my Verizon signal so I know I have good cell service. I unplugged it about a our ago and have yet to receive an alert about power. I did get an alert yesterday when I tested it so I know it works but if it is not 100% reliable what's the point. Set up on the app was a total pain, it kicks you out at any point if you leave the screen and you have to enter all over. Even when I clicked to read the terms at checkout, had to start all over. Seriously I am all about techy things and this is a waste on money. The people that keep it probably don't even know if it works or not, and have not thoroughly tested it out, they just like the nice screen on their phone. Returning it today.
SO UPDATE I spoke with support and apparently the unit lost the the cell signal. But I got no alert. So if it can lose the signal and not update temp readings or send alerts what good is it. I used the reset button and it seems to be working now. I will update again when I get the answer on lose of cell signal alerts.
UPDATE 4 days now no response from customer service. I think they blackballed me. We were out yesterday and got a warning that we hit our 83 degree high head alert so we rushed back and the RV was fine the digital thermometer we have on the shelf and the one on the thermostat read 74 and 76. The only thing I would say it might be good for is the power off alert. IF YOU HAVE A CONNECTED CELL SIGNAL. JUST NOT RELIABLE FOR THE MONEY WE PAYED. ITS GOING BACK.

Good device
Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2026This little device is great for your rv, but there are a few things you should know. You need to have a subscription ($23-$33 monthly). There is a discount for a yearly plan, but I believe you can sign up for only a few months if you only travel occasionally. Most places that you wouldn't get a phone signal, the waggle won't communicate. One of the campgrounds I stay at is very remote and the waggle can not get a signal there. So if you travele to a lot of remote areas this will not work for you.
I did want to say that my monitor stopped charging after about a year and customer service was great. I returned my old unit to them and they sent me a new one.

Another Great Product
Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2025Works great. Trucker here and I use this even with my autostart and epu/apu because in the event it were to fail then I would know and be able to keep the dog safe on days with extreme temperatures. I use this the waggle camera and a carbon monoxide detector. I think they could add a carbon monoxide detector to this product to improve it but otherwise it is excellent. Can take it in your regular car too like the camera as they are very portable overall! Great for ensuring your dog’s safety when they have to stay in a vehicle for a brief amount of time.

Description is misleading
Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2023I purchased the Waggle Lite to monitor our RV when we are away and cannot take our pups with us. It had gotten a lot of good reviews in various publications and I wanted a device that worked on a cellular network as opposed to WiFi which can be spotty in places.
The description says subscriptions start as low as $12.50 a month. That was incorrect. The lowest pricing was $16.60 with 2 years paid up front. A month to month plan is $29 and we have no plans to be RVing full time. You are also locked in to Verizon. Waggle must have some deal with them. There is no way to switch out the SIM card that I have found so far. If I could do that, I could probably find that $12.50 monthly plan. Waggle uses 4g LTE so the unit has a phone number -- I believe they are obligated by law to tell you the number if you ask. [Waggle, I am asking.]
Next, I plugged in the unit to charge. It took a few hours, but then charge should last several days. Not so, I was getting low battery alerts the first day. I plug it in to charge again, but after several hours it goes from 29% to 49% and is texting low battery within an hour. Must be defective. We are on the road with our dog and a device that will not hold a charge. So much for peace of mind if we have to leave her -- actually, we would not risk it; therefore, the 3 star rating which I may change to 2.
There is more fine print that you do not learn about until setting up the device. You get unlimited emails which cost nothing to send. You are limited to 500 text messages a month -- 250 temperature, 50 humidity, 140 power loss, 30 power recovery, 15 battery, 10 network, 5 geofence. Ironically, battery low also generates power loss and uses 2 of your 500. Also, I bought the Lite version which does not do the geofence stuff, do I only get 495 text messages or can I get 5 more temperature texts? For the cost of service, it ought to be unlimited everything. It is no voice and does not use a lot of data. I would be very upset if something happened to our pups because our text allotment for the month was used up.
Next, this device does not check as often as it should. It updates about every 15 minutes, but if it sends an alert, it waits 30 minutes to an hour before checking again. If it sends an alert, it ought to recheck every 2 to 5 minutes until the alert is resolved.
Finally, watch the sign up process. You are put on an auto renewal for whatever you choose. I went for a monthly plan because I only want to pay for when I use it.
Think twice before you buy. The device is $199 which is quickly surpassed with the subscription. I would think the purchase price should include the first 3 months, but it does not. I got a defective unit which will go back. The text messages are limited. The whole thing could have been thought out better.
The unit worked well during our trip out west. I only paid for one month of service, $29 and turned off the auto-renew. Now I see messages that say pay for an enhanced plan or stay with"basic service." What is "basic service?" I find no description anywhere. The implication is that I have some service but what is it? Come on Waggle, get the story straight.

Leigh Merswolke5 out of 5 starsFantastic product you can depend on.
Reviewed in Canada on April 4, 2025This is a fantastic product. We live in Canada and recently traveled to the Florida Keys with our 5th Wheel trailer for a month. The Waggle alerts worked perfectly in USA and Canada and gave us the peace of mind to enjoy some time out for dinner or a trip to Key West for a few hours to watch the sunset.
The temperature readings are accurate and the power outage notices are correct and timely.
You can also pause your subscription when you are not traveling.
