Purchased this for a cross-country road trip with our 13 lb Mini Aussie, mainly because this is one of the very few dog harnesses I could find that appears to have legitimate certified crash testing behind it. The fact that it’s made by Thule also gave me more confidence in those claims versus some random no-name Amazon brand.

We bought the Small size, and fitment was good overall, although our dog is slightly on the stockier side for his size/build. Initial adjustment took quite a while, but honestly I almost view that as a positive considering the harness is designed primarily for crash safety, not convenience. Once adjusted the first time though, it goes on/off very easily, and the seatbelt interface in our 2025 Ram 1500 is simple and quick to use.

Build quality feels very solid and durable. Stitching, buckles, and materials all seem premium and confidence-inspiring.

Comfort-wise, I’d probably give it a 6/10. He didn’t seem uncomfortable exactly, but laying down looked a little awkward compared to a normal walking harness. That said, I think that’s the tradeoff with a harness actually designed around restraint/safety performance. A super soft lightweight harness might be more comfortable, but probably would not hold up nearly as well in an accident.

Overall, if your priority is maximum comfort for daily walks, this may not be the best option. But if your main concern is vehicle safety during travel, this feels like one of the better-engineered options currently available.

This harness was significantly better than others we tried at the same price point. I appreciated that it fits a little further back to prevent it from rubbing my dog's armpits, and the chest piece was narrower than some other brands, so it fits my gangly adolescent with room to grow. The adjustments work well and I appreciate the tidy adjustment system that doesn't leave webbing tails. The drawback of this is that the harness doesn't fit as wide a size range as some others, but my dog is well within the "medium" size and I predict we will stay in this size has he grows.

Good and sturdy for my Corgi. Highly recommend if your baked potato is around 30lbs just get the small and try it. If it's too small return and get the Medium. The small maxed out works well for our 30lb Corgi but it might not work for yours. The harness is really well made for the money and absolutely is built crash tested rated. The straps are the same materials that seatbelts are made of.

Well made and sturdy. My dogs seemed to be comfortable wearing them for long periods of time while traveling unlike a Kurgo harness we had that they always seemed to be trying to shake off. Plenty of adjustability, at least for my dogs. They also are easier to get harnessed because you don't have to place it over thier heads when putting it on. Neither of my dogs liked that process.

The medium just fits my 50lb dog with some room to spare. It’s great not having a second piece to the harness to keep track of and move between cars.

I wanted to like this product SO MUCH! But, it simply didn't work. The seatbelt that runs through the harness locks if you pull fast, which dogs do. My poor pooch had pushed and pulled until eventually she was trapped stuck against the seat unable to move even an inch. I don't see how this product could possibly work, unless you train your dog to only move slowly. LOL! I gave it 2 stars because it fit and latched nicely and looks good. But, that's it.

My first dog, a 70-pound Brittney spaniel rode loose in the cargo area of my SUV. He'd slide around and sometimes fall between the cargo area and the back of the front seats. I decided to harness my 40-pound English springer spaniel. I knew about Thule from my cycling days, so I got this harness for her. It's relatively easy to adjust, and holds her securely via a seat belt. She seems to find it comfortable as she usually sleeps in the car.

Great product but my dog figured out how to step on the release and keeps getting out! He is a Houdini!

es wirkt sehr hochwertig und sicher. zum glück haben wir es für einen crash noch nicht gebraucht. wir hoffen es bleibt so, allerdings gibt uns das geschirr ein gutes gefühl wenn unser hund dabei ist :)

Pretty easy to put on and take off. I feel secure in the knowledge that it is crash tested.

Despite accurate measurements, did not fit well and was so restrictive the dog couldn't move and wouldn't even walk with it on. Likely great restraint, but very unhappy dog.

The straps holding the harness on the dog are slippery and did not stay in position making this save harness unsafe. It was returned.
