We hike on a farm where Layla can run off leash. I took a different route from our usual and after not seeing her for a short while I started whistling. She didn’t come and the panic began. Without going into all the details of speed walking back to the truck, then back to where I lost her, getting through the gate without letting the cows out and huffing and puffing up a very steep hill while trying to whistle; I found her. We came home, called the neighbor to see which tracking collar he had and ordered the Fi. We have had it for 5 months and it is fantastic. We are in a very rural area but the Fi has never went out of service. The battery lasts for at least a week and she wears it every day. It is rugged and waterproof. Layla is a Vizsla, very active. She runs through woods, fields and creeks and her collar has held up perfectly. It is also interesting to see how far she runs on our walks. I have had to use lost dog mode on several occasions. Her recall has improved tremendously from when she was lost. I think it scared her also. It is very reassuring to be able to start lost dog mode and see exactly where she is at. I am very happy with the quality and performance of the collar.

I didn’t buy this for my springers and bought Apple tags instead. VERY limited value. For my Maltipoo I decided to try because I moved to an area with a busy road. I love it. It fits her little self comfortably, (She wears in addition to another collar). I can spot her in the map, get notices when she leaves usual areas, and surprise! It monitors all kinds of things! Eating, scratching, drinking, barking, exercise and more! When a friend dog sits I know where/when/if they took a walk, and the path they took. Charges easily, holds charge adequately, and appears to feel invisible to her. She never scratched or pawed at it. I actually recommend this heartily! It even has a light I can remotely activate. COME ON! Who knew??

Dont buy this unless you're desperate!

So many things to mention.

First off.. nothing worked the way the instructions indicated. You scan a qr code and a menu screen guides you they the set up. The device that actually tracks your pets location and goes on the collar doors not connect to the collar the way the instructions indicate. It didn't mention you can get stuck trying to do connect it the wing way as there are 2 ways to insert it. There is only one way it connects.. so confusing.

Another problem i ran in to was the collar size. If you make a mistake on the size you can't order a collar only. You have to buy a whole new set with GPS tracker. I sized mine correctly but the cooler doesn't fit my pet so be careful.

Once you get the collar activated which means getting the base connected to your home Wi-Fi your supposed to be done. My base station would not connect to my wifi So I had to do it manually. Once I was able to get it online... I cannot activate the collar which is required to be touching the base station. After I got everything connected and online and the geofence set. I get alerts saying that the pet has went outside the boundary. Even though the collar is still on the base station charging. Then I get alerts saying that the base station is disconnected. Even though it is connected and the Wi-Fi in the house is still on. So overall I don't like this product. I haven't been able to use it outside of the home because I had to go buy a different collar which is by a third party provider and expensive to be fi compatible.. bottom line is they made a proprietary collar and GPS that is nearly impossible to alter to get it to work with your custom collar. If you have your pet's name or anything else like that on there. I haven't even tried using customer service cuz I've been so frustrated with simply just trying to get this set up. Once I get my replacement collar and I'm able to go drive around to see if my pet is tracking in real time, I'll provide a second review and update.

A must for outdoor, active dogs. This tracker collar gives me peace of mind when I'm out in the fields with my over-active, bird obsessed GSP. I always know his distance from me and his position when he's out of sight. This is a great product. I've been using it for a year now and it's functioned perfectly. I won't take Beau (my GSP) out on walks or hunts without his tracker collar. A wise investment for sure. Worth 5 times what I paid for it in terms of peace of mind.

When I first got the collars I was super irritated as I could not get the base to connect to my internet and then I couldnt get the collar to connect to the base. After over a week of fighting with it, I finally got it to connect and its been great since. I have 2 of them, one for each of my dogs, and they have been great being able to watch their activities and locations. I will be getting new collars thst fits the Fi but these are OK for now.

We have an Australian Shepard who is very active. U fortunately our 25 acres doesn’t contain her and she continuously left our property and we would have to go looking for her. I found the Fi Series 3 and decided to give it a try. This is the best solution we could have come up with. Now we can rest in peace knowing that we can always find her. I was not sure this would work in the country but it amazing. We set up a safe zone and we get a notification if she leaves it. She is really fast so she can get a distance away before we see she has left. But now we know where she is headed. Best money I have ever spent…..worth every penny. Great app and so easy to set up and use. Very accurate

This is a fantastic product. even though my dog is microchip and she wears a tag I wanted to be able to know exactly where she was and not wait for someone else to find her if something happened. My dog ran out of the fence and it was gone before we even knew she was out. I looked at my app on my phone and knew exactly which address she was at and simply went and got her. It can’t get easier than that. I only have to charge the battery about every other month and then I just forget about it. You just set up the app and put the collar on and you’re done. I just wish the collar was a little thinner because my dog is small but fat.

So far it works well. A few thing I didn't see before I purchased that might be helpful. The base only works if you have a 2.4ghz wifi connection and after the first introductory subscription it looks like Fi wants to charge you $99 every 6 months I think it's a little less if you buy it a year at a time, regardless the subscription is kind of pricey. There were some setup hiccups but nothing I couldn't get past. The app want full access to your phone location all the time, which isn't something I give any app access to. The bottom line is, I didn't know this subscription was going to be so expensive. I probably would not have bought this product. This caller does a lot of things a fitness watch does but a fitness watch does it without a subscription. Yes I don't expect Fi to host servers and do all those things for free but, they probably are selling any information they get off of your phones location and whatever else the app/collar collects just like everyone else does. I got the caller for $99 and they want $99 every 6 months for the service. It's going to be a hard ask for me to continue after the first 6 months.

Doesn't allow you to register to a Uk phone and then have to fight for your refund despite paying £10 for registered return. 3 weeks and still waiting.

Great collar. Easy to use app. Low profile.

It doesn't work in the UK

I was excited to try this collar on my foster dog who likes to roam further than he should. After setting up safe zones and following set up instructions, we went for a walk to check how it works. Sure enough, pup took off and disappeared for 20 minutes. The "Lost Mode", which is supposed track in real time, dis not activate for 4 minutes. When it did, it showed my dog being located in the same spot where the lost mode was activated for the entire duration of him being gone. It only updated his location when he returned and the collar was next to my phone. Absolutely terrible! It defeats the whole purpose of the tracker. To add, cell service was fine. The app was able to track my phone location in real time...just not the collar/dog location. I will be returning the collar.

So far so good but sometime the gps is not a bit slow and not a accuret but everything else is amazing
