Great, sturdy, long-lasting hammock stand
Top reviews from the United States

Most things are not amazing, and most things are not totally terrible
Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2017I gotta tell ya', I think 5 star reviews and 1 star reviews are way overused when people rate products. Most things are not amazing, and most things are not totally terrible. I view a 5 star review as something special. Simply put, of any product I have ever purchased on Amazon, I believe I am most impressed by this product. My son and I went back-packing in September 2016 and took portable nylon hammocks for the first time ever. The first night, I slept great. The second night, it rained all night so we moved to a tent. All I could think of that second night was that I wished I could be sleeping in the hammock again. I have a difficult time sleeping most nights, and the hammock was fantastic. I came home from that trip and told my wife that I wanted to put bolts in the wall or ceiling of our bedroom so I could string up my hammock to sleep in on nights when I had a hard time falling asleep. I was not kidding. She was not having it! But, she understood my problem and my experience back-packing. I spent months wishing I could have a hammock set up in my room. After several months of hearing this, my wife began looking for something that might work for me. She found this product and tried to get me to get it. I resisted for a long time because this stand sounded too good to be true, and I didn't want to spend family money on something that essentially I would be the only person to use. After continued encouragement from her, I finally decided to purchase it after reading the product description over and over. WOW!!! This stand is BETTER than advertised. I can't believe the cost is only in the $53 dollar range. I was expecting something somewhat shaky and not very sturdy. I figured it would hold me up, but expected the workmanship of the product to be somewhat questionable. I simply can't believe how well-built this thing is. Set up straight out of the box is quite easy. The metal used is very strong. When set-up, the whole product is very sturdy. There was no scrimping on materials in the whole thing. The hooks used to hold the hammock a very strong. The screw-connectors are large and can be turned with your hand rather than needing a screwdriver. There is one final touch that is very well engineered. Where the stand contacts the ground, there are thick rubber end-caps that protect the floor. I would have expected the company to use thin plastic end-caps. Nope! Nice, thick rubber. There is also a well-made bag to keep it in if you want to take it from place to place. You can bet this is going with my to my in-laws and on vacation! Listen, if you are thinking about this hammock stand, I whole-heartedly en
I personally think 5 star reviews and 1 star reviews are used to much. I don't think most things are amazing or terrible to rate such high or low reviews. Of all products I have ever purchased on Amazon, this might be the most excellent product I have received. In September 2016, my son and I went backpacking and slept in hammocks. Once I returned home, I told my wife I wanted to hook bolts into our bedroom walls or ceiling in order to hang my hammock for when I have trouble sleeping (which is a lot). Surprise, surprise, she didn't let me! But, she understood my struggles and began looking for a product for me that might be just as good. She soon came upon this hammock stand and encouraged me to get it. I resisted for weeks because I didn't want to spend family money on something that really only I will use. She kept encouraging me, and after reading the product description many times, I decided to make the purchase. When the product arrived, the set-up was very easy. But, before the set-up even began, I realized how sturdy and well-made this product is. The metal used is very strong. There is absolutely no bending or give in the stand. The hooks for the hammock are also made of a strong metal. The screws have large twist handles on them so they can be tightened by hand rather than by screwdriver. The storage bag is designed well and strong to hold the metal parts. Set-up is easy. Very easy. Less than two minutes easy. The final touch that shows this product was well-conceived and well-engineered is in the rubber end-caps used where the product touches the ground. I would have expected thin, plastic end-caps. Nope! Nice, think rubber to protect your floor. These days, I keep the stand partially dismantled in my bedroom standing against a wall. If I have trouble falling asleep, I get out of bed, set it up in less than one minute and climb into my comfy hammock. Seriously, if you are considering this product, I whole-heartedly endorse it. I would literally give it 6 stars if I could. Major kudos to the designers, engineers, and builders of this hammock stand.

Great, sturdy, long-lasting hammock stand
Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2025I was kind of in analysis paralysis last year when looking for a hammock stand. I knew I wanted one that could work with either a single sleeper (banana style) hammock or a large, wide rope hammock. I also wanted to make sure it was long enough to prevent any chance of it hitting the ground once I was laying in it. This hammock stand seemed to be good fit for both.
When it arrived, it was *really* easy to put together. I'm talking less than 5 minutes. It was easy to attach my hammock to it. I used it multiple times over the summer and it never hit the ground. I left the stand out in the rain a few times and it never rusted. Also, the wheels on the stand are much-appreciated by our landscaper who has to move it onto the patio every time he goes to mow the lawn.
At the end of the summer, it was just as easy to take apart as it was to put together. The stand comes with a bag for putting it all back into. After we made sure every piece was dry, we put it in the bag and stored it until this May when we took it out again.

Decent Hammock Stand
Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2016So far so good (but I feel like there could be a few improvements)! I used this to hang a Vivere Double Hammock I picked up on Woot.com.
Getting the hammock to the right tension level using the adjustable hooks on this stand took several guesses, but probably not more than about 15 minutes of effort. If you have someone else to help this will go along much faster as you can both make adjustments simultaneously and without fastening the nuts that will hold the hooks in place. If you are assembling this by yourself however, you'll have to fasten one hook/nut, then go to the other side and fasten the other, and then see if you can sit on the hammock without it stretching all the way to the ground. If you have to tighten it, then you have to undo both sides and move them a notch lower and repeat the process.
For the Vivere that I was hanging, it seemed like the highest position for the hooks would be sufficient, but it ended up being the lowest position on both sides. Initially the hammock looked so taut that you'd think you wouldn't be able to even use it, but it worked just fine and eventually seemed to sort of "break in" after a couple lounging sessions.
The stand seems fairly sturdy and everything basically lined up somewhat easily, but the metal does not seem to be crafted with what I would consider to be a high level of accuracy. For example: once I had assembled just the base of the stand, the four feet did not sit evenly on a perfectly level floor. After completing the setup and using the hammock a few times, it all seemed to settle into place well enough. The two arms that stick up holding the hammock do not set firmly into place and will wiggle a bit at the joints where they connect together. I expected the arms to have a little "bounce" to them when getting in and out of the hammock, but the wiggling at the joint is more than that.
It comes with a "carrying bag" which isn't anything more than the flimsy plastic package that it arrives in, but better than nothing I suppose! Overall, I would suggest the manufacturer focus more on quality, but it does the job if you're in need.

My Mom Wont Get Out of the Hammock With This Stand
Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2017I purchased this item used through Amazon in addition to Hammock for Camping Single & Double Hammocks - Top Rated Best Quality Gear For The Outdoors Backpacking Survival or Travel - Portable Lightweight Parachute Nylon DO Navy & Lt Blue for my Mom for her Birthday.
She. Loves. It.
I originally purchased the hammock without surveying the yard in where she was going to use this in, only to realize that the only thing that was hammock tying distance apart were a pair of 1950's galvanized steel laundry line poles, and a plastic PVC fence. This worked well for about 18 minutes before the fence gave out. In the fences de-FENCE (hah) it looked as if it were ready to start floating out of the ground before the hammock was ever tied to it, so I can't really fault it too much for that. The laundry poles were about 20 feet apart, so trying to tie a hammock to the two poles would have been worse than just buying her a tarp.
So, one phone call from her complaining about a sore butt and needing help with putting a fence up, I purchased this stand. I should have did this from the start.
This works WAY better than tying to a tree, as she can move it around to situate herself in the sun or shade, and even in the living room (shes an adult, she can do whatever she wants).
It is moderately heavy, but it is a metal stand, so that is to be expected. It was lighter than I expected it to be, and it's not too heavy that she can't haul it to her car and up and down stairs with issues. The carrying bag is made decently well, and I'm not worried about it breaking down from the limited amount of transporting that she will be using it for. It feels very sturdy and doesn't show any signs of floating away like the white fence did.
Regardless of my impressions, my Mom still loves this stand, and I honestly should have bought it from the beginning to save my own back from digging new fence holes. Hindsight is 20/20, so next time I buy a hammock for someone, I'll either get this stand right away, or at least make sure that there are actually trees in the yard.

Great, easy to assemply and disassemble, Hammock stand
Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2023I really like how easy this stand is to assemble and when your ready to disassemble after the season or to take it elsewhere, there is an included storage bag to told all the parts. Beside the 2 bolt on clips to hold the hammock, there are only 6 parts - two upright poles, two legs to stabile, a wheel assembly and the main frame pole, along the bottom. So Easy !
The all Metal framework is coated in black power finish to give it a nice look. The two clips that hold the hammock are nice heavy stainless bolts and can be inserted in any of the 6 holes in the upright poles, to adjust the length and keep the hammoch from dragging.
The included Wheel assembly allows the frame to be easily rolled from location to location. This is very handly as the frame is large and awkward to handle when fully assembled.

Definitely a space saver for a tiny balcony
Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2016I have a very small balcony--we're talking 9' long by maybe 4'. I used to have a full sized hammock stand when I lived in a place with a huge balcony and loved it, but this space saver was the only choice that works for me here. I was concerned about whether even this would fit out on my balcony, but it just barely made it, with one end stick out slightly over the balcony and the other flush against the wall, slightly diagonal. Even so, I absolutely love it so far. It fits both the ENO Doublenest and the Golden Eagle double hammock, even with the hooks on their highest settings (it is adjustable, so it will work for multiple sized hammocks; however, I wouldn't recommend the lower holes unless you have a short hammock bed with long ropes, because part of the hammock bed on a long one will rub against the metal all the time). One of the best things was how easy it was to assemble; I dread "some assembly may be required" projects, but this took me a total of maybe 15 min to put together, with no outside tools. It appears sturdy enough so far, but expect some movement with the joints when you lay down at first (this happened with my old metal stand as well, doesn't creak or bother me once I'm prone, though). Overall, no complaints thus far.
