The HiBoost kit includes everything you need to get started, including the outside omni directional antenna, amplifier, and interior antenna. The setup process is straightforward, but it will likely take a few hours to complete. Depending on your setup, you may need to drill holes, pull wires, and mount the antenna. Some people simply run the cabling through windows or doors and mount the antenna on a temporary pole outside. I installed the system in a more permanent manner internally but opted for a removable antenna mast for flexibility in antenna placement. Whatever your skill level, the easy-to-follow instructions with clear explanations make it simple enough for anyone to do. Also the HiBoost customer service is top notch and can give you advice if you need it.
When setting up the system, it’s important to consider where you place the external antenna and how far apart it is from the internal antenna. The external antenna should be positioned high above the trailer, with a clear view of the sky and horizon. Keep in mind that trees, buildings, power lines, and electrical systems in your trailer can all affect how well the system performs. To prevent feedback and ensure a strong internal signal, try to maximize the distance between the two antennas. Think of it like a microphone and speaker setup – if the microphone is too close, it will produce a squealing sound. The same principle applies to the antennas, as feedback can worsen the system’s performance.
Performance
This is what matters most! Once you install it, you’ll notice that the signal becomes stronger and better. The booster enhances your cellular signal and sends it through the inside antenna, giving you a more reliable connection to your mobile network. If you’re watching videos or using an app that requires a lot of data, you’ll notice that everything is faster. If you couldn’t receive calls or messages before, now you’ll be able to easily communicate thanks to the improved connection. Just remember to stay close to the inside antenna, as the signal quality decreases significantly with distance.
We placed ours in the middle of the trailer and have had no problems inside. However, if the original cell signal is very weak, the improvement will be minimal. Cell phone towers are also good at picking up weak signals, but the power to send the signal back to the tower is limited. The booster can amplify the signal, but you might not be able to send it back to the tower. There are many factors to consider. Even the weather can affect the signal. During our first trip, we had strong storms and heavy rain, which degraded the signal and prevented us from using the internet. However, we could still text and make calls without any issues.
For our next trip, we decided to swap the omni-directional antenna that comes with the kit for a directional antenna that can be bought from HiBoost (for more information, reach out to HiBoost customer service). We tested both antennas and found that the signal greatly improved with the new antenna. To determine the correct direction to point the antenna based on our location, we used several mobile signal apps. Thankfully, during our second trip, even though it rained the whole time, we didn’t experience any signal loss, which was a relief.

A Company that Still Does Business the Right Way!
Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2023I made the choice to purchase a signal booster when I wasnt able to get a descent signal at home due to my living in a canyon where the only internet available was by using your cell phone or a mobile wi-fi router, either way cell based data was all there was. Due to my signal being hit and miss, streaming anything, especially High Def Video, was near impossible.
I did my due diligence as to what company I would give my hard earned dollar to, and in the end it was HiBoost that I decided to go with. This was for many reasons, their rating on Amazon, the fact that they had a lifetime Tech Support Team to assist in any questions or problems you may have, their price and product quality, the simplicity of their product, and a full three year warranty are just to name a few.
Since making my purchase I've learned a few things with my booster being in service now for almost a year, covering nine of the western states. Most of the time being used in the mountains and the remainder in the desert. The most impressive benefits of making this purchase was the performance of their product, whether in the Rocky Mountains or in the High Desert my HiBoost Cell signal booster worked every time.
Then to my pleasant surprise the customer service is bar none the best I've ever experienced in the over forty years of making retail or e-commerce purchases. My reason for saying this is based on three different individuals, the first being Selina who followed up on my purchase by sending me a letter of thanks along with all of the ways I could get in touch with the tech support.
As I'm a guy who can build or repair most anything I completed my installation with my reading only some of the instalation instructions. Even with that being the case, my signal did improve enough to make a difference. I just couldn't believe that it couldn't be better, so I sent an email to their tech support team to see if I wasn't doing something wrong.
To my surprise I got an immediate response back asking me to provide a number where I could be reached. It wasn't more than thirty minutes later I received a call from one of their technicians by the name of Noah who gave me some great tips to maximize my signal gain. Providing me his number so I could call him if needed. I followed his suggestions and saw an even better result with them being implemented.
I don't believe it was more than a month or two later when I received another tech support call from Aaron. He and Noah work together in tech support. I let him know that everything with my booster was working fine, and that their boss should give both of them a raise for the excellent job they were both doing in making sure that the customer was 100% satisfied with their purchase.
Finally, somehow during my move to the State of Wyoming, I misplaced my exterior antenna. So I contacted tech support and reached Noah once again. After telling him of my situation, he surprised me a few days later by letting me know what the tracking number was for the exterior antenna he had shipped out at no charge.
So I'm not sure about you and the experiences you've had when making purchases from vendors outside of Amazon, but based on the example set by HiBoost, I would recommend them to anyone needing to improve their cell signal at home or anywhere else.

Hard to believe this. Antenna looks bad ass on the front of my NuCamp T@B 32 BoonDock on top of my bike rack.
Customer support held my hand on all my questions and helped me improve my system. Even more!!!
I chatted with them on the Signal Supervisor app AND via regular text. Never have I had such PROMPT help.
And I probably could have done it also with the instructions and videos in the app. But I'm the kinda of customer that needs my hand held throughout the process. And the install went super quick.
And I plan on replacing the mount with the part pictured when I get it from another company. I'll try and update this review if it works well. I shouldn't need this plate if it works.
And if I keep the plate, it gets a second hole drilled through it and another bolt or two.

Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2025Edit: after my first trip the threads gave out on the bottom pass through rod. Thing scratched the side of my sprinter. The unit worked phenomenal up to this point. Pretty weak threads here. Everything was well tight prior to leaving. This happened 2500 miles in and I checked tightness in all my rack components every 500.
DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS!!!! This thing works amazing. I am at a place I KNOW I never get more than two bars. This thing gives me full, and have zero buffering anymore in videos. Awesome AWESOME booster.
