Replaced the broken [original] Tri Mark T507 entry door lock with the one purchased here. Easy to install. Worth the purchase.

Arrived one day earlier than expected as well.

On our very first trip with our Class C, the original door lock failed in the worst way—the metal mechanism snapped in half, and we were locked out of the RV with nachos cooking in the convection oven. Thankfully, the nachos turned out perfect, but the lock was a total loss.

We ordered this RV Designer T507 replacement, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The lock shipped quickly, arrived in great condition, and was incredibly easy to install. Even as a first-time Class C owner, I had no trouble swapping it out. Once installed, the door felt secure again, and the deadbolt adds a reassuring extra layer of safety. After the stress of being locked out on our first trip, this replacement gave us the peace of mind we needed. Highly recommend for anyone who wants reliability and security for their RV door.

First of all, let me say this is a newer model of the 060-0650 lock which it replaced; they did good! The new lock is heavier and has an interior handle that makes closing the door a LOT easier! Delivery was very fast, shipping materials offered full protection, etc. One thing: Be sure to dig all the way to the bottom of the shipping box as there are multiple pieces in that bubble wrap! I almost missed the new mounting screws and the strike plate (which you will need).

I had never installed one of these before so I thought I would share some tips I discovered in the process in case they will help someone else out a bit.

1. You will more than likely need a Torx socket for removing the old lock as that's what all the fasteners on mine were. At first glance it looked like a Phillips but closer inspection showed otherwise. Luckily, I had the Torx tools handy and all went well.

2. There is a sticker on the new lock telling you not to remove the striker pins on the locking side as they are fixed in place at the factory by law. Trouble is, the old one won't come out of the hole and the new one won't go in the hole without removing them. The "fixed" part turned out to be some Loctite, so it wasn't a problem to get them removed. Just be sure to reinstall them firmly after you get the lock into the door opening. Other than this issue, the lock went into the existing opening without a problem.

3. After installing the new lock, I thought I would just keep the original striker plate. I lined it up and eyeballed it and it looked the same - NOT! You can barely see it, but the notches for the locking pins in the new strike are ever so slightly larger and the old strike simply would not work. Normally this wouldn't even have come up but the reason I had decided to use the old strike was because it was installed UNDER the metal flashing strip down the door jamb. I removed the two screws holding the strike plate to the frame (they also anchor through the flashing strip) but it still could not be removed. I finally had to go into the motorhome and remove the plastic closure next to the door jamb. This is done by popping off the plastic screw caps and removing the screws. Once I had enough out to get the bottom of the strip loose and pulled out, I had to pry the metal flashing away from the door frame enough to finally work the strike plate out. Installing the new one was much easier as I knew what had to be done.

Once the new strike plate was in the lock closed and functioned perfectly - couldn't be happier with it. One other thing: you DO NOT want to drop this thing on your foot when installing it. This new lock is a bear and really has some weight to it, so be sure to hang on to it at all times.

Replaced TriMark 05J lock on our motorhome. Came with 4 keys....perfect fit. Took 10 minutes to install. I knocked off 1 star because it did not come with a replacement gasket for the outside. A bit spendy, but we tried fixing it for 2 hours first, so this felt like a better, easier solution.

If I could give this product 10 stars I would! I have an older Sooner horse trailer and never got keys for the front tack which I have converted to a living quarter. I am going on a trip and needed to be able to lock my belongings inside so it was this or an ugly and clunky hasp with an unreliable padlock. This door lock was an exact fit and duplicate to the original. The installation instructions included were clear and concise and enable me to switch them out in literally only about 5 minutes. It works more smoothly than the original as well and fastens better with no door slamming. SO many wins here! I was hesitant because of the cost and locks can be a pain but this one well worth the money.

This is a replacement entry door lock that fit our 2004 Damon Challenger class A motorhome. It is an extremely good upgrade from the original lock. It has a steel latch not pot metal that breaks like the original one did. I had to chisel the original one off in the middle of the Mojave Desert wilderness. The only way out was to climb out of the drivers window and find a chisel to cut it into about 12 pieces to just get the door opened with out damaging the entry door itself. Had to use a tiedown strap then to hold the door closed to drive 2 more days to get home. I recommend it even with the high price. It is as described in the listing. It is heavier duty than the original. It uses 2 different keys and they do not interchange, 2 keys for the entry lock and 2 keys for the deadbolt and a good locksmith can cut more keys if needed.

Perfect match for our 2006 Forest River Georgetown, thanks to reading other reviews. I always struggled with opening and closing our RV door with the original TriMark door lock. The RV Designer door lock opens and closes with ease and it is about $100-$150 less expensive!!! I wish we had changed it sooner. The hardest part of changing the door locks was getting the defective TriMark off. As other reviews have indicated, at one point the TriMark door lock will fail due to the plastic used in the latch. I recommend replacing before that might happen (9 or 10 year mark). The RV Designer door lock fit perfectly, we did not have to modify the cut out at all, but do use all the parts and replace the old sticker with the new one.

The RV designer T507 motorhome entrance door lock is wonderful. I needed a replacement entrance door locked for my 2006 Gulfstream Vista cruiser mini motorhome and the T507 fit perfectly. It was easy to install, and I am very pleased.!
