This is our favorite smoke detector. They are reliable and have great reviews. They work when they need to and we trust them. This is our second one. Our first one lasted 7 years and we were happy with it, so we purchased it again. When this product needs to be replaced it will start beeping very loudly and not stop until it is taken down and disconnected. It was actually cheaper to purchase here on amazon rather than buying it in the store. Installation is very easy, just remove the packaging and hang it up.

Worked fine for about 2 months and started randomly chirping (at about 5 am of course!). My only solution was to permanently disable the device, rendering it useless. Very disappointed in the lack of performance for something that cost $30 something. I could probably take a chance with customer service on a refund but this is the second one to prematurely fail and I'm just done with this brand!

Great replacement or as an additional smoke alarm. Easy to install and the 10 year battery provides a great length of time before needing to be replaced.

The package is delivered in good condition. Easy to install, no big hurdle. The only thing confusing me is the green light to indicate normal operation. I can’t see the green light at all even though the Test button is working fine with red light. Once in a long while, I see it blinking green. Other than that, it is just dark as in the photo. Hence, im unsure it is working or not. It may be helpful if the printed guide on the alarm clearly indicates if it is a blinking (and the blinking period) or solid green. 4-star for that reason.
