I bought a 2023 In Tech Sol Dawn camper new in June of 2014. They threw in a Furrion Vision S backup camera with 4.3" monitor (an $800 value according to the dealer, probably glad to be rid of the old inventory sitting on the lot)

Even after trying to adjust the display exposure, brightness etc, it was extremely dark in bright sunlight, to the point of being too dark to see much detail. I bought this Vision S+RV 7" monitor as an upgrade after being frustrated with the older model camera. It is different as night and day. Super clear sharp picture, bright and so much better (at just over half the value the dealer threw in)

Installation was a matter of minutes to remove the four screws holding the old camera and install the new one, mount the monitor(the suction mount is very strong and holds the monitor steady with no vibration) and run the supply cable down to the light socket out of sight in the Subaru Ascent

The larger 7" monitor plus clear picture are a wonderful improvement. Wired into the lights, I turn the clearance lights on to use it full time on a trip so I can see lane changes and following traffic and for backing into a camping spot, like a better rear view mirror. The Sol Dawn is wide enough I can't see much past it in the side mirrors so I love the camera for this and don't mind the clearance lights being on for visibility to other drivers.

Highly recommended! I'm not tempted to add the side cameras because I like the full view in the monitor with just the rear camera. The Sol Dawn is not a large camper, if it were a much longer model the side cameras might be useful but with this smaller model those are not needed.

I love this camera and monitor!

A Little pricey but works great. Some have complained about reception issues with rear view camera. I traveled 1200 miles with no issues. Side cameras are great as well. All three cameras installed on 26' travel trailer. All cameras paired when turned on the first time. Very pleased with this system. I had an earlier system that the screen was very dim (4 years old) hoping this new one would be better, it is much better.

This multi-camera set was purchased to replace a rvs-2 system which never worked well and finally just died.

What I was looking for:

* rear and two side cameras

* night visibility

* good (color) resolution

* able to reliably transmit video signal to the truck cab from the rear of a 40' 5th wheel

* touch screen

This system checked off all of those bullets. You get monitor, rear camera, 2 side cameras that replace marker lights, and a multi-purpose 4th camera. that I allocated for a truck bed camera for 5th-wheel hookups (see below).

Their manual, though it mentions that the 'shark fin' camera can be used over a RV door, it's the only camera with a swivel, so it really needs to be in the rear. The other camera, with a fixed angle and a red marker light, is better suited for over the door -- or, in my case, as a truck bed camera.

Installation was simple, even though my RV was not prewired for this brand. The rear camera (shark fin) had only 2 wires. The side cameras had four wires. I used 3 (power, ground and marker power), and capped off the 4th which would be used for blinking. The truck bed camera had 3. I left marker power off; I didn't need a marker light there, just the camera.

My installation comments:

* No screws were provided for mounting. They must assume you'll reuse what's on the vehicle. I could not do that, as the screw holes in the cameras were too small for what I had on the RV.

* The power connector out of the back of the truck bed camera was quite short, around 6". I had trouble running it through the front of the bed to the power connector I had at the cab rear window.

* Conversely, the power connector for the shark fin camera was way too long. Many feet. I had to trim it down to a few inches.

* The power connector wiring out of the back of the cameras comes out of a bare hole. I had to add some silicone sealant to keep water from leaking in over time. Ditto on the seal between the cameras and their rubber backing.

Usage notes:

* Thus far, it has not dropped any signal. Full test will be in a few weeks when the RV goes for a long trip.

* Picture quality is great in the single-screen mode. Once you add displayed cameras, it does get a bit crowded, but that's expected.

* Switching and configuring views was a breeze.

* I do wish the settings allowed me to rename the cameras. There's a confusion between 'Rear' and 'Door' in my installation.

Overall: it's pricey, for sure. But it sure has everything! I wish I'd had it over the previous years....

This is the biggest piece of crap I’ve ever purchased. I could have done much better with a $30 Wyze camera. Only reason I got it was the trailer was “pre- wired” for it. It would not pair with the monitor no matter what I tried. For the money, it should be plug and play. After exhausting hours attempting to get the POS to work , it never happened. The culmination of this fiasco was having the monitors suction cup let loose from the glass it was mounted to, falling to the ground and breaking the monitor display. I would never recommend anyone buy this junk.

I recently purchased a 22’ RV trailer prewired for Furrion back up camera, and after a couple of attempts to backup without a camera decided to purchase one. This unit works well for our trailer size and as a bonus i can hear my wife who still guides me at the back of the trailer with the mic turned on. You can change the position of the camera up or down easily without any tools, but not the width which is fixed and is adequate. It took about a minute to install it and was already paired, but can take 30seconds or so for the display to activate when reversing which is too long, alternatively if you touch the screen it comes on immediately. My only issues are:

1- it stays on even when driving forward which is a bit distracting. I configured it to turn on when backing up or when the turn signal is activated, but it stays on anyway.

2- wish it would pair with my vehicle display instead of having yet another display attached to my windshield. Also have a TPMS display connected as well. But that is my cars fault vs. the backup camera.

Super easy to set up on my RV Trailer, I expected to spend at least an hour or two minimum and it took less than thirty minutes to remove the old Furrion, which still worked but was a smaller screen, and install this, which has the same footprint screw wise for the camera. Screen is much better connects easy and has better clarity. If you’re doing the Bullet mounting system, the diameter of this dash cam ball is the 22.5mm ball mount to their standard ball mount.

The four cameras will not work if you have a newer model camper that is prepped. Most campers come with a shark fin prep on the rear and above the door, this system only comes with one shark fin. So you either have to rewire the camper or have an extra camera with no use. We ended up having to order a second shark fin camera at $200 more. After talking to Furrion this is a common issue, especially with Forest River brands and Brinkley. If you have a four camera prep I would advise buy the three camera system and an extra shark fin. Definitely check your preps first to see what you need.

Other than that, the cameras were super easy to install and were literally plug play and work well.

Works great as a security feature. Allows you to see traffic behind you which allows for safe lane changes. Also backing into campsites.

Only issue i found was it's not so clear during rain which is understandable.

Good system. A bit of a compatibility issue with GM vehicles that cuts the system in and out. Furrion aware of the issue and need to buy an extra pigtail for you seven way plug to prevent the issue

Very simple to connect to my prewired Furrion vision s+ on my camper. Took just few minutes to figure out how to make it work. I watched a video.
