These are very nicely made. Each light is sealed with heat shrink so they stand up to the weather very well. They connected right into my 12v landscape light system which is what I wanted. We have a bunch of Pygmy palm trees out front and we wrapped the trunks with these. The warm white looks great. We leave them up all year. I have been using these for a few years now. They will burn out eventually but last at least 2 years. Sometimes they ship right away and sometimes takes awhile. I just order extra and keep a few on the shelf.

Wrote a 1 star review, "waste of money", after initial order because the string would not light up. Was contacted by seller and they instructed me to test the voltage on the line at the point of attachment which was 9 volts at the end of the line. They stated that the lights would not work on less than 12 volts so I ran an independent wire in series from the transformer which tested at 12 volts. I have since hooked up 5 strands of these lights and they all work. Nice customer support.

For some reason it is very hard to find 12v landscape voltage christmas lights. I have low voltage all over the yard, so having lights that tap into it is great because I can run these up trees without needing to run extension chords all over the yard. They tapped in very easily and worked great. Color was true to picture and they obviously worked on the same circuit and timing as my landscape lights.

The price, though, seems really steep given that this is only a string of 100 lights and you can get two strings of 29V led 300 lights with converters for under 20 bucks. If these were closer to 10 bucks, I would get a whole bunch in soft white, but at close to 20, no.

I like the light color. It's a nice warm white, pleasant and not at all hard on the eyes.

33 feet might sound like a lot, but unless you stretch it fully taut you're getting more like 20-25 feet in a straight line. I used one string to fully illuminate the inside of a small tree (crown 2.5' across and tall), and two strings to illuminate the outside of a much taller tree whose crown is roughly 4' by 12'.

The good news is that these have connectors that allow them to be chained together. However, trying to light up a bunch of trees and bushes in even a small yard will take a LOT of these, and you can't realistically put more than 2 on one chain without enough voltage drop to noticeably reduce brightness. I run as many as 3 in a chain, and I can see what the third one does to the brightness. I wouldn't try four in a row, as the voltage converters already struggle with three.

The AC-DC converter is half-wave, meaning the LEDs are only on half the time. One string measures at 5 watts on my Kill-A-Watt meter, which is impressive.

If you were thinking you'd use these to wrap the trunk of a 20' tree, or to light up the crown of such a tree, my advice would be to look for something in a MUCH longer size. It'll probably be cheaper per foot. This particular string is better for smaller projects. In my yards, the 33' length (again, more like 20-25') turns out to be handy because chains of 1-3 strings are always the right length for everything. Most of what I use these for is mainly straight lines.

There is only one color, no effects, and no remote control of any kind. To me, this is perfect.

I power them with a 100-watt Dewenwils power supply that I also got on Amazon. The terminals are comically small (only large enough for one 14-gauge wire to each terminal), so I run one 14-2 line (rated for direct bury, of course) about ten feet to a junction box, then have that wire-nutted to two separate lines that are also 14-gauge. The idea is to have two shorter distribution lines running in parallel, rather than having a single, much longer line for the entire yard. This keeps the maximum run shorter, and the maximum resistance lower.

14-2 is more than enough for this application, as each string is only 5 watts. If you need to power these from over 100' away, I'd use 12-2 and get a power supply that can optionally deliver 13 volts to compensate for the voltage drop. Plan to power no more than 3 (ideally 1 or 2) strings from a single converter: each string comes with its own, but you need to make sure to run distribution line out to where each converter will be. This is not hard, but requires planning.

Make sure to use grease-filled wire nuts, and place your splices in valve boxes underground (sometimes called "spider boxes.") Small valve boxes are good enough. You may also want to put the wire nuts inside grease tubes for added protection, especially if your valve boxes are prone to flooding. I find it's easiest by far to run the wiring through the same trenches as irrigation lines (they tend to need to go to the same places) so if you're planning that kind of system, it's VERY easy to add landscape wire. If not, narrow trenches are easy enough to dig. Especially if you dig them backwards.

Bought these LED lights in July 2024. Used them from Nov. 2024 - March, 2025 then again from Nov. 2025 - March. 2026 using a timer (roughly 6 hours per day). Total "usage" is under 2,000 hours. A segment of the LED lights string stopped working. Bought these because of the 20,000h life only got 10% usage out of it, would have been ok with half of the advertized LED lifespan.

The strings tied into our 12V landscape lighting with ease. They are bright, with good waterproof connections. The connectors are also quick to undo if you are only using the strings as seasonal lighting, allowing you to leave the strings in place if you wish.

This is the second time that half of a strand doesn't work.When we put it up.

I want to amend my review to say that they are in fact very bright, much brighter than your typical cheap string lights. I was having an issue with my electric supply and the transformer was not getting enough power so the lights weren't as bright as I had liked. I had that repaired today and these lights are very bright and look way better than the old string lights. I am one to admit when I'm wrong and I was wrong. Just ordered 6 more strings to replace the old string lights that don't work anyway.
