This generator has become a must-have for our tailgates. It’s surprisingly quiet and runs about 6–8 hours on a gallon of gas, depending on how many things we have plugged in. Blown away for the price point. Pulled it out of the box, added oil, hooked to propane, and started on third pull. Ran it for 30 minutes hooked to my RV running my 8000watt A/C AND my 110v mini fridge/ lights etc. no issues whatsoever. You could definitely hear it spike when AC kicked on, but handled it well and ran impressively smooth and quiet. Will be perfect for tailgating, weekend camping, or as a backup when we lose power at the house. Would definitely buy another. Very happy so far.

I ordered this generator to use for boondocking with my camper. The instructions were clear about how to set the unit up. After getting it set up (oil and gas added), it fired right up. I plugged in two phone chargers and a circuit tester into the unit and it was working perfectly. I hope the long term longevity matches the initial quality. I was pleasantly surprised with the noise level of the unit as it is even quieter than I had hoped. In addition, the weight of this generator is plenty light enough to be able to move around with ease. Be aware that the oil does not come with the unit and that will have to be purchased separately before you set up and run this generator (oil type clearly communicated on the set up instructions).

The Power Smart 3800 generator works great for camping, which is what I got it for and running my furnace during power outages. I only plan on using propane. Which was the biggest selling point. So I can only comment on the operation with propane. But I’m sure it works just as well with gas. It was easy to start. The noise level was low and on par with other generators at the beach camping. Very easy for one person to move around. Overall very happy with my purchase

Great generator. Decently quiet and the dual fuel option is very nice. If you are buying to use with an RV or camper you will need an adapter for the 30 amp receptacle. The info on here says it has a TT-30r 30 amp receptacle but it does not. It has a L5-30r for locking type plugs. You will not be able to plug your camper or RV in without the adapter. It does have two 20amp 120v receptacles though which is great but it's nice to have a 30 amp recep for higher loads like running an A/C or microwave and other loads simultaneously. Other than the incorrect info it's pretty nice!

Just received this generator a few days ago. I bought it as a backup in case of power failures so I can run a refrigerator, a few electronics, and recharge devices. I’ve put oil in it and started it on propane and it seems to work great. It is not too loud, can be moved relatively easily, and is a good size to run a few key items (though of course it won’t power a whole house).

It does come with a propane hose and regulator; I’m mentioning that specifically because there is some inconsistency between what’s listed here and what’s in the manual. It also came with a small oil funnel and spark plug wrench.

Nice looking generator with everything works as it should. Took out of box and fired it up on propane to make sure it worked properly before even putting gasoline in it. Fired right up and worked well with both fuel types. The noise of the generator is very comparable to a Yamaha 2500-watt generator (Quiet enough to talk over) that I usually barrow from my father. Seems well built and love the option of being able to run off propane for inside warehouse use and if I travel with my Van, I can keep generator safely inside vehicle without gas fumes and refill propane tank at the campground when generator runs out of fuel. I am also impressed that it does not take up much more room than a small 2500-watt generator and you have the ability to daisy chain. The weight is even manageable for my wife to lug around. Easy to use, just turn on the fuel and give it a pull.

This generator is a great deal. Small size and runs on propane or gasoline. I was able to get it set up and running very quickly. I have not run it on gas yet, but it runs great on propane, which I prefer to keep.the carburetor clean and minimize maintenance. It has a slightly lower power rating while running on propane, but that is true with any dual fuel generator.

It runs much quieter than I expected. Once it has run initially, it has started on a single pull of the chord. So far I've used it to test output and under load it does very well. When running a small load such as amateur radios and two operate battery chargers, it is very efficient. The power output is very clean as well with almost no variation in voltage or amperage.

I would recommend this generator to anyone looking for a good value and for reliable starting and operating. It is light enough to haul around when needed and quiet enough for outdoor needs where it can run without being annoyingly loud like my other generator tens to be. Just get one!

Well I got it and filled it with oil and gas, put the choke on and in one pull it started then turned the choke off and it ran fantastic. Put it in eco mode and the thing is super quiet in fact I think it's quieter than a Honda. Now just to test it under load for what I bought it for but so far so good
