  This air conditioner is the perfect size for most rooms I have seen. I have a pretty big living room and it is able to cool it relatively well. Be aware that the bigger the room, the harder it is to cool the room. The first thing about this is that it does come with a hose and window cover. You do need to use this as the heat from the air conditioner needs to go somewhere. If you do not use this hose, you need to vent the heat out towards an open window or something. The hose is not the best quality but it is not flimsy where you can poke a hole into it but it does feel like you might crack it over time so handle it with care. Do not bend it too much and try to keep it straight. The window piece works for most windows but it does take a bit of installation. You can remove it if needed especially on the cold season. The device does some with wheels which is make this SUPER nice to move around. It is still on the heavy side so even with the handle it is harder to lift up the stairs. I would recommend that you just store it upstairs if that is where you are going to use it. It is a bit annoying to carry it up and down the stairs. When the air conditioner is turned on, it does create noise. There is not much vibration noise but you can still hear the hum if you focus on it. Honestly, most of the noise I have gotten used to. I definitely was able to sleep through the noise with this on. In terms of power consumption, it will draw a lot of power but not as much as a full house air conditioner if you are concerned with the energy bill. The filter is pretty easy to remove and clean. There does not seem to be an oscillation so it will just point in one direction unfortunately. The remote is nice so you can control the air conditioner without moving. It does have to be line of sight in order to work so make sure you position it in a location that you can just point and click. The controls are pretty simple and easy to follow on the remote which is nice. You can also control the air conditioner on the interface on the device. There is some assembly required with the window and the wheels as well. It is fairly straight forward. The filter keeps the bugs and dust from the outside. The window cover does not do 100% cover. Air and dust still get in through the cracks so be aware of that when you are putting this on your window. As there is fire season coming, it may not keep all the smoke and smog out. The device does get a bit tanned easily. The plastic white panel yellowed after a few weeks being pointed in the sun. The same can be said about the air conditioner so keep it out of the light if possible. It does not seem to get too much condensation that I can tell. I would recommend just giving it a clean every few weeks especially the filter. It can be washed and reused. Overall the device works pretty well. It keeps my room cool. I am not entirely sure if it is energy efficient compared to a full house air conditioning unit. Also do NOT plug this solely into a surge protector. You should always plug devices like these directly into the wall. The filter is very easy to remove and clean. The noise level is not very loud. You do hear some humming but compared to many other air conditioning units it is not that bad. The wheels make it SUPER easy to move around but it is still hard to carry even with the handles. That being said, I would recommend store it on the same floor you want to use it. The remote is easy to follow and use. The only thing I had an issue with is the hose and window. It is a bit on the flimsy side but it works. Just do not force anything. Also be aware that is does not completely seal so dust and debris can still make it in.

  I would give this 6/5 stars if I could. I did not know they even came this compact. When I opened the box, I was extremely shocked about how compact the unit is. I hooked it up in my living room and within 1 hour my large living room temperature dropped significantly. I intended to use this in a small room not the living room and now every one of my family members wants one after seeing it. I hope I am able to snag one by next paycheck becuase they were low in stock. For the price, this product exceeded my expectations with build quality and function. It is quite enough to use while sleeping. The remote has all the options you need from a temperature setting to a timer. What sold me is the fact that the remote has a display and their is a setting that allows the machine to cool down the area of the desired temperature where the remote it located. Meaning you can sit in the far end of the room or even a other room if you really want to and the ac will maintain 73F in that area if you have the remote next to you. I could not be happier. Totally recommend it!

  After reviewing another brand this isnt that bad

  Update: After reviewing a different brand that was supposed to be better and cool faster, this model isnt so bad. Sure you cant move the front louvers so it only down drafts but it actually self evaporates like it says it will and its half the price or less of the other models.

  Original review:

  Well let me start off by saying I got this for when the power goes out so I can have something to keep cool with at night while running on the generator.

  Let me start with the positives. I ran it for 11hrs set at 70 deg F in my bedroom and it did kick on and off properly when the room hit 70F.

  It seems to cool quite a bit as long as the room is sealed and its not too big of a room.

  The remote is a great feature to have as well.

  They ship you a window lock in case you are worried someone will break in through the window

  Now the negatives (grab a coffee its going to be a long list). First off the cold air out the front is directed downward towards your ankles. As everyone knows the way to cool off a hot room is from the toe up right? There's no way to adjust this from what the instructions say and the front of the device is securely fastened. Though one could conceivably tape some cardboard under the fins angled up and let it bounce off of that and up higher into the room but that's

  In that 11hrs it was running it used up 3.06KW of electricity so quite a lot for the temp difference I was asking it to make of ~4 deg in a 14x12ft room.

  The worst part has to be the noise. With a 24dba sound floor in the room this thing (measured at 3ft in front of the device) is putting out 47.2 db. And thats with the fan on LOW! Keep in mind that every 10 db represents a doubling of the perceived sound volume. So this thing is 4x louder than the ambient sound in the bedroom. Theres almost no way you are going to sleep with this thing in a 14x12 room. Not even with a pillow over your head like I was trying to do. So if you are worried about someone breaking in because you live in a bad neighborhood or are the only one with power during a grid down situation this thing is not going to work for you. Unless youre lucky and the thieves use dynamite to open the door to your house.

  When I woke up (an hour early because of the noise this thing puts out) I checked the temperature on the device, 70F, I went down stairs and checked the temperature at the thermostat (which was off BTW) 69F. So we would have been better off leaving the door open and even cracking a window and turning on a small fan than using this monstrosity!

  Another terrible idea is that its window slider mounting system requires you to permanently modify it in order to fit it into your window. Well what if I want to move it to a bigger window and now its too small? yeah.... terrible idea. Dont do that.

  Also they have this bright idea that when you're asleep you want the room 4F hotter than when you went to bed so hitting sleep on the remote doesnt activate some super silent mode like you'd hope. It just raises the temperature 4F over the course of an hour so now you're sweating in bed... why would you do that? Oh and that window lock I mentioned... you have to screw it into the casing of the window. So its a permanent hole in your window... just throw this thing out and get a wooden dowel.

  Lastly it has a drain hole in the middle of the device for use when you set the thing on dry or fan... but it assumes you are using it in your basement in the instructions because they say "position the hose over the basement drain". Uhh that's not gonna work chief. A) this is in my upstairs bedroom and B) my basement doesnt have a floor drain. With this thing being about 18-24" tall if you want to use the drain out the same window you are running the vent through you better have a magic wand because that's the only way you're going to make water drain UPHILL. I suppose you could kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get a table that's tall enough to raise the unit above the level of the window. That would simultaneously let you cool the room from waist level due to the immovable fins AND use the drain hose. But you would have to position the unit immediately in front of the window (the accordion style air vent extends to about 6ft long) because the condensation drain hose is about 2ft long and you will have to punch a hole through the exhaust window retainer plastic because there's no way to run the drain hole through it out of the box.

  Ways to improve this unit:

  Allow the louvers on the front to move up and down, vent out of the top instead of the front, or increase the height of it so it can cool the room more efficiently

  Make sleep mode a whisper quiet mode at the temperature set by the user... if I wanted the temperature to be 4F hotter id set it at that.

  change the window kit so it doesnt have to be permanently modified to use it.

  and be drained out of something other than a floor drain. I know it evaporates the water out of the tank via its normal function but whenever I turn it off there's quite a bit of water in it and I have to move it to another room to drain it so it doesnt get moldy.

  I'm very picky when ordering AC units..we have an old farm house (ranch style)..

  We have 2,500 sq ft in our home..

  I am NOT a summer person. We live in N. Michigan..our summers r pretty short..we do get pretty humid days..we do have upper 80's to high 90's with pretty high humidity during our summer..

  We do not have the duct work for central AC and that makes putting that in our home very expensive..I bought 4 Haier units with varying BTUs to help keep this house cool..

  We have a cat rescue and we moved one of our older units out for the kitties in the cat porch..I needed a unit for our 300 sq ft kitchen..I researched units for 4 months..I finally settled in the Euphomy 8,000 BTU..

  I'm absolutely amazed at this unit!!

  We just had 5 straight days of high 80's with high humidity..the nights were horrid with high humidity and temps going only into mid 70's..I ran this unit on dehumidify only for 5 days and nights..it kept our kitchen at 67 degrees !! I told my husband we may need coats and mittens when it's on actual AC mode lol..

  Highly recommend this unit..it's smaller than any unit we have bought but wow, it's a great AC unit and very reasonably priced .

  well… I’m back for a second part: I still never got a call and so it’s still missing a wheel and I couldn’t return it because I can’t talk to anyone? Mainly, it’s now leaking everywhere… I drained it out two days ago and came home from work and there was water everywhere…. This thing sucks

  When I went to take it out of the box, one of the wheels was off and I found it in pieces at the bottom. It’s so hot here so I hooked it up anyway and the set up was easy enough but the materials aren’t very good. It was missing the plug The adhesive falls apart and there isn’t even enough to do the job.

  The extender for the window insert is smaller than the actual insert so it is impossible to properly insulate it. I ended up using other foam from the package for another part to rig it into place…

  Honestly, I paid a lot and that’s frustrating but I could make it and work and would be fine with it but the only real issue I can’t deal with is the incessant loud RINGING… it’s killing me 😭… I tried reaching customer service to at least get another wheel and the answering service on the phone said I have to email, so I did.

  I did place it on a noise cancelling pad and have the part where the wheel was padded and standing evenly. Still the ringing ahh

  stopped working after a single summer of use

  There's really not much more to say, it started leaking and refused to cool after one summer of use. Worked great when it did at least!

  On the plus side, customer support was quick on the take and things were solved quickly. So. If you do get one, maybe don't get this unit from them, but if you get another support will be on top of things.
