About this item
- [Peak Efficiency with Full DC Inverter Tech] This 10,500 BTU SACC(14000 BTU ASHRAE 128) portable air conditioner, suitable for cooling room up to 500 Sq.Ft., boasts a 13.6 CEER rating verified by DOE, representing the pinnacle of energy efficiency in its market. Since we don’t inflate the BTU rating of our unit, its size may be larger compared to some other "mini" models that falsely advertise 14,000 BTU. ❗❗❗Unit dimensions: 15.5" D × 17.7" W × 29.3" H — please make sure your space can accommodate this true full-size 14,000 BTU unit (not a "mini" model with inflated specs)
- [Dual-Hose Cooling] Unlike single-hose portable AC units for room that can cause negative pressure and hot air influx, our dual-hose system ensures rapid cooling and maintains balanced indoor pressure for faster, more efficient room temperature control (61°F - 90°F). If you're upgrading from a single-hose unit, you can expect a cooler, more comfortable summer
- [Say Goodbye to Compressor Noise] Inverter Mode reduces the compressor's frequency to 50% load within 2 mins, lowering noise to about 45dB. This allows our Inverter AC to actively adjust compressor frequency for noise control, alongside traditional fan speed settings. You'll no longer have to endure the noise from compressor while you sleep
- [Your Room Doesn’t Need Full Power All the Time] A typical 10,500 BTU SACC portable AC can draw around 1,300 watts at full power. Traditional fixed-speed ACs mainly adjust fan speed, which usually changes power use by only a few dozen watts. Gasbye Inverter ACs adjust compressor output instead: Turbo Mode runs at about 800–1,300 watts for fast cooling, while Inverter Mode lowers power to about 500–800 watts when less cooling is needed. That 400–500 watt difference lets you choose full-power cooling for hot days or lower-power operation for milder nights—helping reduce electricity use
- [Night-Friendly Controls] Backlit remote for easy nighttime use, plus a Display Off feature that turns off the top panel lights for undisturbed sleep
- [𝟯-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲] If you purchased our portable air conditioner based on a statement in our listing and feel it doesn't meet your expectations after use, you can directly 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 Gasbye Support for a 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗 or 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧. In addition, all replacement units we provide are 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗡𝗘𝗪, not refurbished. You can trust Gasbye—we stand behind our products, and if you check customer 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀, you'll see our support team usually 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝟏𝟐 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬
- ❗❗❗Both the intake and exhaust hoses are 5.9" in diameter and 59" in length. If your window is higher and the hoses can’t reach, we do not recommend using extension hoses, as they increase resistance to heat dissipation and may reduce the unit’s cooling performance. A better solution is to place the AC unit on a small table or sturdy stand to raise its height
- ❗❗❗The package includes two 20-inch window brackets and one 10-inch window bracket. If your window is larger, don’t worry. After receiving your portable AC, you can request additional window brackets for 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘
- ❗❗❗In most cases, portable ACs do not require manual drainage. But if the humidity is over 85% RH and the room isn’t sealed, moisture from outside can continuously enter, which may exceed the unit’s auto-evaporation capacity and require manual drainage. In such cases, unlike many portable ACs with drainage outlets at the bottom, our unit includes an additional drainage outlet positioned higher on the back, making the process much easier

Product description
Dual hose systems are true air conditioners, capable of cooling an entire room. In contrast, single hose units create negative pressure indoors, causing hot outdoor air to be drawn in through door cracks and window gaps, making it feel like you're cooling with an open door or window.
The real noise in Portable AC comes from the compressor, not the fan. With our Inverter Compressor, you'll barely hear the compressor's sound. But if you're very sensitive to noise, even an inverter portable AC might not be suitable. Split ACs, with compressor outside, offer better noise control.
[3-Year Quality Coverage] If you chose our portable ac based on a statement in our listing and feel it doesn't meet your expectations after use, you can contact Gasbye Support for a FULL REFUN𝗗 or 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 REPLACEMENT. In addition, all replacement units we provide are BRAND NEW, not refurbished.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What is the difference between dual-hose and single-hose portable air conditioners?
A1. Single-hose units are a cost-cutting design and work more like a fan that blows cool air, only cooling the area directly in front of the unit. They create negative pressure indoors, drawing hot outdoor air in through door cracks and window gaps, making it feel like you're cooling with an open door or window. Dual-hose systems, with two separate air circulation pathways, are true air conditioners that can cool the entire room efficiently and are more energy-efficient. If you're upgrading from a single-hose unit, you can expect a cooler, more comfortable summer.
Q2. What does "inverter" mean, and what are the advantages compared to non-inverter units?
A2. Non-inverter units can only adjust fan speed, which changes fan noise but not the constant buzz of the compressor. At low fan speeds, the fan noise decreases, but the compressor noise becomes more noticeable and annoying. Inverter ACs let you lower both fan speed and compressor frequency, reducing both types of noise for a more comfortable experience. Another advantage of inverter ACs is that they are more energy-efficient. Your room doesn’t need full power all the time. A typical 10,500 BTU SACC portable AC can draw around 1,200 watts at full power. Traditional fixed-speed ACs mainly adjust fan speed, which usually changes power use by only a few dozen watts. Gasbye Inverter ACs adjust compressor output instead: Turbo Mode runs at about 800–1,100 watts for fast cooling, while Inverter Mode lowers power to about 500–800 watts when less cooling is needed. That 400–500 watt difference lets you choose full-power cooling for hot days or lower-power operation for milder nights—helping reduce electricity use.
Q3. Does the Gasbye dual-hose inverter portable air conditioner require drainage in high humidity?
A3. In most cases, portable ACs do not require manual drainage. But if the humidity is over 85% RH and the room isn’t sealed, moisture from outside can 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, which may exceed the unit’s auto-evaporation capacity and require manual drainage. In such cases, unlike many portable ACs with drainage outlets at the bottom, our unit includes an additional drainage outlet positioned higher on the back, making the process much easier.
Q4. What do the 14,000 BTU (ASHRAE 128) and 10,500 BTU (SACC) ratings mean for the Gasbye Dual Hose Portable AC?
A4. The cooling capacity of an air conditioner is influenced by the current temperature; the higher the temperature, the greater the challenge for the unit. ASHRAE 128 measures cooling capacity at 80°F, while SACC uses higher temperatures and stricter conditions, making it a more realistic measure of performance. Therefore, the SACC rating is usually lower but provides a more accurate assessment of the unit’s cooling efficiency in real-world conditions. Even for units rated at 14,000 BTU under ASHRAE 128, their SACC ratings can vary significantly. Since we don’t inflate the BTU rating of our unit, its size may be larger compared to some other "mini" models that falsely advertise 14,000 BTU. Its dimensions are 15.5" D x 17.7" W x 29.3" H
Q5. How long are the window brackets included with the Gasbye portable AC? What if my window is longer?
A5. The portable AC package includes two 20-inch window brackets and one 10-inch window bracket. If your window is larger, don’t worry. After receiving your portable AC, you can request additional window brackets for 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘.

Two seasons of reliable use
Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2026I bought this unit in 2024 and have now run it through two full summers under heavy use. Since I'm currently getting gear ready for the upcoming season, it seemed like a good time to provide an update on how it has held up over the long term.
Performance is where this unit stands out. I haven't used single-hose portables, but this is a step up from any window unit I’ve owned. It manages the heat load effectively and cools the space down much faster than expected.
A few practical notes:
-- Maintenance: In my experience, I haven't had to drain water at all except as a precaution before storing the unit for the off-season. It’s been a low-maintenance setup. The only thing we ever need to do is clean the filter from time to time, which is very easy.
-- Noise: The sound is a steady, predictable hum. It’s audible, but it’s the kind of background noise that blends in after a few minutes. I am noise sensitive, and it's never been an issue for me.
-- Build/Setup: The initial installation was straightforward. The window kit and components feel solid enough to endure regular use and have held up well. Getting this unit unboxed and installed was a lot easier than putting in the window units I used previously.
I don’t use the remote, so I can’t speak to that, but as a standalone cooling unit, it has been a dependable workhorse. It does exactly what it was designed to do.
Also, I should mention that I have reached out to Gasbye's customer service a couple of times (not for problems, but for help with technical questions and questions about accessories), and Amy, who handles their customer service, is amazing. She is very fast, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares. Based on my experience with this AC unit and my interactions with Amy, I would feel very comfortable buying from the Gasbye brand again.

I'm very happy with this purchase!... (Updated review: even better than I initially thought!)
Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2025Update nearly 1 month after my first review... I've now had the Gasbye unit running for nearly 1 month, and couldn't be happier! This portable unit easily rivals typical window units in cooling ability and water evaporation (can't yet speak to electric efficiency, but seems good). For example, re: evaporation, I have not had to empty the water bucket yet, after nearly a full month of use, despite some recent very humid weather. For the sake of comparison, last night I had failed to check the water bucket for my bedroom's 10K btu portable Midea and it overflowed, after only a few days. I'm super happy with how well this thing cools too! Worth every penny!!! I came back for this update, because for a purchase this expensive, it is worth poring over reviews, both good and bad. I hope this helps someone................... I've only had this AC Unit running for 1 day and 1 night, (therefore I promise to come back if I change my mind). But so far, I'm very impressed! Being on the top floor of an old, poorly insulated building, having 10 ft ceilings, and an open floor plan, my apartment is very hard to cool. This AC is incredibly quiet, but fast and efficient. It cooled the place in about 1 hour! It was also easy to install. I'm no expert, but everything about it struck me as good quality, and Gasbye even provided plenty foam insulation, which I thought was a nice touch. This is my 3rd Portable AC unit, and from what I can tell so far, the best one by a mile.

Quiet and Very Cool!
Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2025We are enjoying the cool air and quiet operation of the Gasbye 10000 AC unit during these summer months to keep our living room comfortable. So far the unit is working as designed. The unit was relatively easy to install and we appreciated clear instructions as well as the included water drain hose. Also found the included air venting hose connections well thought out. The two hose system seems to be way better than our window AC unit in our bedroom and way less noisy. We also emailed and took advantage of Gasbye free extended 3 year warranty offer - little piece of mind. (3 years total form day of purchase) I also purchase an air vent insulating hose cover for the units heat exhaust hose to keep it from transferring heat back into the room. The exhaust hose can get warm when unit is under a continuous cool down load. Suggestions I mentioned in my email to the company for future units is to back light the entire control panel so the text and symbols are readable in the evening when room is darker. The “power on” button should remain lit continuously. The remote works alright and does have a lighted LED screen but could have a stronger signal. We have notice you mostly need to be standing in front of the unit for the remote signal to be received by the unit. It gets a bit sketchy if you are standing or sitting off to one side, although we have found a way to bounce the remote signal off the walls of the living room back to the unit which does work most of the time. Of course that would depend on your room configuration. We corresponded these suggestions to Gasbye and they were very receptive. Emailed me back and said they had been considering these improvements already. Seems like a very competent company to deal with, very refreshing. If you want cool, quiet AC then this is an excellent unit better than the name brands in my opinion.

Excellent... With Major Caveats
Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2025This is, so far, an excellent unit. With some major caveats.
I am, sadly, a bit of a portable A/C connoisseur, having dealt with many different brands of nominal 14,000 BTU portable A/Cs over the past 4 years. I can confidently say that, in the Inverter mode, this is the quietest I've come across, and it isn't even remotely close. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the unit is whisper-quiet with a near-perfectly consistent white noise pitch when in the inverter operation. I cannot over-emphasize how quiet it is while still producing a nice stream of cold air in this mode. It also produced nearly no excess water (much more on this later) in this mode in my environment, making drainage unnecessary.
The inverter mode, however, is not going to be nearly powerful enough for some people. That may not be a problem, though, because the "Turbo" regular mode has extraordinary cooling power. As compared with other units on the market... This Gasbye has significantly more real-world cooling power than the popular and well-regarded duel hose 14,000 BTU Whytner model; and maybe 3 or 4 fold (truly) the real-world cooling power of the 1 hose14,000 BTU Della model. The 14,000 BTU Humhold (also sold under multiple other brand names) seems to produce a similar force of similarly cold air. However, the 2024 version of that unit sold under the Domanki brand name had serious longevity issues. Additionally, that is a 1 hose unit, making the real room-cooling effectiveness of the Humhold slightly less than of this Gasbye unit due to the negative pressure a 1 hose model creates, pulling outside air in through walls, windows, door frames, and other crevices. This Gasbye unit also has FAR more cooling power than both a 12,000 BTU Amana unit and a 12,000 BTU Haier unit I have used over the past 4 years.
So, what are the caveats? As I said, the inverter mode will not be powerful enough for some applications. And the full-throttle "Turbo" mode which is so awesome at cooling also produces an immense amount of water by-product. During continuous running, without cycling off, in +/- 75% relative humidity outdoors, in a large room in a well-sealed apartment, this consistently produced more than 20oz/hour (0.6L/hour) of water. If you're planning on using this unit continuously at maximum, you will, most likely, want to rig up some form of continuous drainage. Of course, many people will be using this unit somewhere in between the two extremes; but you should be aware this produces more water than any other portable A/C I've recently encountered.
When in the full-blast "Turbo" mode, this unit is also no less noisy than the other units I've mentioned. Not more noisy, just not less.
Finally, I want to mention something about the hose design. The outside air intake hose does not have a screen. This won't be a problem for some people, but for some people not installing this behind a window screen you will need to create a screen of your own to prevent tiny insects from flying into the unit. This is an easy enough do-it-at-home fix. But be aware this issue exists.
Customer service is excellent and responsive. They reached out to ask how I liked the unit and, as promised, responded in less than 12 hours when I asked about the availability of a screen for the intake hose. The unit also comes with a 3 year, rather than 1 year, warranty, which is basically unheard of for a portable A/C.
Overall, my first few weeks suggest this is an excellent unit with some caveats. For most (but not necessarily all) use cases, this is probably worth the price premium over less expensive models; and preferable to similarly priced units, as well.

Great unit with one design flaw (which can be fixed easily - see review). Amazing customer service.
Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2025Overall, We are very happy with this unit so far. It has only been in service for a week, but this week has been the hottest by far this year (mid 90s but humid with heat index over 110 for past 5 days.)
The Good:
1. Customer service! When they say they provide excellent customer service, I would have to agree. I have e-mailed them numerous times trying to get my issue (will explain below) resolved, and they have been very responsive and helpful at every turn. A+ for communication. I did not have to deal with any exchange / return/ refund issues, so can not speak to those.
2. Cooling - Our unit (Coolprime10000 - 10K BTU unit) is oversized for our room which is only an 11 x 12ft bedroom, but it cools it quickly and then powers off as it should (now - see below.)
3. The filter is easy to remove and clean, which is a plus. We purchased the unit because we have bunnies that we just could not keep cool and the bunny fur is unbelievable and everywhere! I am easily able to keep the filter clean by removing it every couple of days and vacuuming it off.
4. I have not used the remote, but the controls on the unit are easy to understand and use after you read the manual. Was not intuitive (at least not to me - 3 second long hold) for the inverter and turbo mode.
5. It is not whisper quiet, but it definitely is not loud. It is a compressor after all.
The "Bad"
1. This is where our problem came in. We set the unit at 77. It would consistently push the temp in the room to 69 degrees before powering off. This caused the unit to run excessively, thus pulling way more power than it should be. This is what I contacted customer service about. She gave me several suggestions to try. Ultimately, I was the one who figured out how to resolve the issue though. She sent me a photo of a different unit where the thermostat was located in a different location.
On THIS unit, the thermostat is located directly above the hot air discharge line! Seriously? I'm not sure who thought (or didn't think) that one through. The air around the discharge line is much higher than anywhere else, and with the thermostat being located directly above it, the unit wasn't sensing the actual temperature in the room. We resolved it by placing tin foil (with small pool noodle spacers directly on the connection and slightly up the line) and laying tin foil over the top of it to reflect the heat back at the line and away from the unit. As soon as we did this, the unit now powers off when the room reaches 75 degrees instead of 69. Still not 100% accurate as the unit is set to maintain at 77, but I will definitely take it. (see video for demo)
2. The window kit. The kit that is provided to go in the window is thin plastic. The kit comes with two 20 inch pieces and one 10 inch piece. Our window is 43 inches, so the two 20 inch pieces was still too short, but using all 3 pieces made it feel unstable. It also does not seal for a hill of beans, even with the foam they give you. The hoses connect on the smooth side of the plastic panels, which causes the smooth side to face into the room and the adjustable side with the holes to face outward (were someone could potentially remove the screws and take it apart from the outside and gain entry into your house (not that knocking out a cheap plastic panel is hard to do anyway if they really wanted to.) We used a dremel to shave the adjustment rails so we could attach the hoses from the opposite side (smooth side facing out) and used pool noodles to create a frame to sit in the window and help seal it up. I also cut out insulation foam board to fit the panels to help insulate it and try and keep some of my cold air in the room. (photos below - again it looks a bit goofy, but it's functional.)
I hope these two suggestions help anyone else having difficulty with their temperature control or window installation. I would buy this unit again as I don't think the window kit on ANY of these units are able to seal easily and well.

Great Unit, with Caveats (6+ months of heavy use)
Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2025Long Story Short:
Probably the highest value portable A/C unit on Amazon, with a couple minor drawbacks. Technology Connections on YouTube hasn’t reviewed this unit yet (as of writing), but I think most "A/C Experts" would prefer this design over most other portable A/C units.
Long Story Long:
We used this unit heavily (day/night) throughout a hot & humid Midwest summer. The windows in the room we needed to cool are really odd sizes, so we couldn't find a good window unit to fit. We had to buy a portable unit, but we wanted to make sure it was a dual hose unit for maximum efficiency (ideally with an inverter mode) - this unit checked those boxes.
Honestly I was skeptical upfront because I saw all the great reviews here, but I ran it through a couple review checkers and that raised a slight red flag. Nonetheless, I bought the unit and I would do so again - as the title would imply, it works really well but with some caveats. Overall it deserves a solid 5 star rating because it’s the best on Amazon, but not because it is perfect.
Pros:
1) Great customer service. One of the hoses I received didn’t fully snap into the window bracket, so they mailed me a replacement right away at no charge.
2) Pumps out lots of ice cold air
3) It's hard to quantity this exactly, but it seems to run efficiently. Functionally, the dual hose system works well, there is no negative pressure in the room, and the Inverter mode seems to operate as advertised, so it would seem that this is much more efficient than other portable AC setups.
Caveats (not really ‘Cons’):
1) Another review said that the evaporation pan never overfilled - same here, but Gasbye recommends that you manually drain the unit every 12 hours to avoid mold. So, you need to make sure a hose and catch bin are setup for condensate, and it fills up quick which means constant emptying. None of this is the fault of this unit, that’s just the nature of portable AC’s. The water has to go somewhere - either that, or have damp cold air. No joke, on particularly humid summer days, we were emptying a 1 gallon water jug 4-5x a day. You don’t want that water to just sit in the evaporation tray, it’ll just add moisture to the air you’re trying to cool.
2) VERY IMPORTANT: You have to make sure to insulate the pipes - they are made of a really thin uninsulated plastic material. Again, that’s not this unit’s fault, that’s standard for portable units. But adding insulated sleeves boosts efficiency by a TON. There are pipe insulation sleeves available for sale here on Amazon - like I've said, it makes a huge difference for any portable AC unit.
3) Make sure you email Gasbye to setup the 3 year warranty.
Cons:
1) Confirming what others have said about the temperature control - it is wildly inaccurate. We had two digital thermometers in the room, and confirmed that when the unit is set to 72°, it actually stays around 68°. And when it’s set to 73°, it hovers around 74.5°. A mild annoyance for sure, but not a dealbreaker beacuse you
2) The remote doesn’t work very well. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be quite common. Oh well, not a big deal.
If Gasbye fixed these two (relatively insignificant) Cons, it’d be a perfect portable A/C.
Sidenote: We haven’t paid close attention to the volume level since we don’t really care too much about that, but it isn’t obnoxiously loud.

Reliable Workhorse + Great Customer Service
Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2026Last summer I bought 2 for each of my kids rooms. The units worked as advertised, cooling their rooms quickly and quietly via the Turbo and Inverter functions. I love them so much, I just bought a third for our master bedroom! My wife and I couldn’t be happier!
The build quality on these units is solid and the setup is quick and easy. But my favorite part of this brand has been the customer service. Amy’s response time is second to none. Backing a solid product with equally impressive customer service is how you gain and keep customer loyalty. Gasbye has earned my brand loyalty for life. Keep up the great work Gasbye. Keep showing other brands how it’s done!

Reliable powerhouse portable AC!
Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2026I've had this portable air conditioner for 2 full years now and used it throughout the hot, humid midwest summers nearly 24/7. I've had zero issues with this unit and it's going on it's 3rd summer! I just powered it on for the first time today after sitting got nearly 8 months. The turbo mode is a beast and can cool my entire upper floor main areas (open floorplan living room, dining room, kitchen) more than 800sq ft.
I did need to order an extra window spacer kit because my sliding windows are oversized, and an exhaust hose insulation wrap because the hose will get HOT which causes some cooling loss. This is expected with any internal unit and worth the extra few bucks.
It's not perfect, but no indoor unit is. It's a not loud on the turbo setting but that's expected. It's a heavy unit but it's on wheels making it easy to move around to adjust positioning.
Overall, I would 100% recommend this Gasbye portable air conditioner. If you're comparing between other brands, this is the one you want!
I also have 2 Pelonis portable units which are good, but they can't output the same level of cooling for a large area and do NOT have dual hoses (they're good for smaller areas and bedrooms).
Fair warning, if you have cats, expect them to use the top as a perch and inadvertently power the unit off at least once a day lol.
