I bought the Callsun N-Type 16BB 400W Bifacial Solar Panel 2-Pack (2×200W) to power my off-grid garage using a Bluetti Elite 400 power station. I have them set up on the ground, leaning against the garage.

On a sunny day I’m consistently hitting 420W peak output which is well over the rated 400W thanks to the strong bifacial performance pulling in reflected light from the ground and house wall. These panels are delivering better real-world results than I expected in this temporary lean-to configuration.

This setup easily powers my garage tools, lights, and small appliances while keeping the Bluetti charged. The estimated charge time drops fast, and I’m getting reliable off-grid power exactly where I need it.Great value, solid build, and real performance that exceeds the label. If you’re looking for panels for a shed, garage, van, or any off-grid project, these are an outstanding choice. Highly recommended! Would buy again!

I added these to my ground mount setup a few weeks ago, and they’ve been performing great. Even on partly cloudy days, they still pull in a solid amount of power, which really surprised me. Installation was easy, and the panels feel sturdy with top-notch build quality. The bifacial design seems to help capture extra light when the sun hits different angles. So far they’ve kept my batteries topped off every day, and I’m really happy with how efficient they are.

I currently have 7 of these panels and they impress me everyday. They consistently over produce and on a nice sunny day I average around 275 watts of output per panel sometimes closer to 300. Construction is very sold and they are a nice looking panel. I like the black frame vs the silver. Packaging is very solid and I have not received and damaged panels even when getting two in a box at a time.

Simply put, this panel cannot be beat at this price point or even reasonably higher. The power output (watts) is higher than stated in ideal conditions. One thing to note, the OCV's on these panels are a bit higher (@27.31V and even higher in cold temps). So, if your running in series on your panels, keep an eye on your solar charger's max voltage input. These panels are an exceptional value, highly recommended!

These panel were packaged extremely well. Thick foam on on the corners and sides, as well as separating the panels. In addition to that, each panel had thinner foam on the back side the panel. The only way these would get damaged is abuse by the shipper and it would take quite a bit.

These panels look so good. Good quality and assembly. Zero flaws on my set. Not sure why people complain about the cable length. It's more than enough to put them in series and even have them spaced 12in apart if you wanted to. You are going to be running a cable to them anyhow.

As for performance and why I gave them 4 stars. The voltage is spot on. I am getting 54.4 during peak sun. But, I am only getting 7.1A with a 3ft 10AWG XT60i pigtail (center pin grounded) and 7A with a 40ft extension. Well below the rating of the panel. We have had clear skies and perfect sun and that's the best I can get. Still happy with ~380W, but after seeing some other reviews, I expected closer to 400. It is real feel temp of 92 today here in Texas 4/13/25, so maybe these panel just don't love the heat.

I'll update my rating after trying a different pigtail and giving it a couple more months to see if production increases.

I’ve been using the Callsun 400W bifacial solar panel kit (2×200W), and it’s been a solid addition to my setup. The panels feel well-built and durable, and they put out good power, especially in direct sunlight.

I like the bifacial design—it helps pick up a little extra energy from reflected light, which is a nice bonus. The split panel design is also helpful since partial shade doesn’t completely drop your output.

Overall, it’s a reliable, efficient option if you’re looking for something for RV use, off-grid setups, or backup power at home. It does what it’s supposed to do without any hassle.

I don't remember if I've already reviewed these solar panels or not but here is my latest thoughts. I have brought only 3 sets of 2 because of the cost but they are good solar panels. It was hard to size panels because of the 60 volt charge limit on the Dabbsson 2K I got during last Prime Day for $459 which was a less expensive battery inverter/charge controller at the time, but in series and parallel 2 plus 2 into 1 configurations they work out well to 54 some odd volts being careful to not go over the 20 or 25 amp limits.

The other plus for these panels is that 4 in series or 6 in series 800/1200 watts they actually produce 915 watts and 1300+ sitting on concrete driveway in full clear sky at the right time of day and correct angle to sun. Even on cloudy days they produce enough to charge my since purchase of the Pecron E3880LFp's and Pecron's F5000LFP's. I'm not a solar guru by any means and need a lot more solar panels and learning to do but the cost makes me go slow and it changes all the time...the cost I mean and which is better at the time. I'd like to get to 14,000 watts solar panels one day but 1200 watts or(1300/1320 watts) at perfect time of day these are doing a descent job... for now.

I'm not a tree huger or environmentalist and but no means will these off set my electric bill (by much) by am subject to frequent and long lasting power outages lasting up to 12-13 days at times. Have 3 Generator both Gas/Propane and Diesel but hard to get fuel when there's no power for many miles (Southern Midwest). Will update this review as I get more of these Callsun panels and it looks like I will try and get 2 a month if I can.

Wow. Is my first response. I set this panel up and was pleasantly surprised that it had the wattage of 198. That’s amazing for a 200 watt panel. Later in the day I had something behind it on the ground (the bottom of my table) so it would reflect on the back of the panel, and again pleasantly surprised it increased the watts by 40 watts. This was my first panel, I will definitely be purchasing more to complete my array of 2000 watts. Hope this review helps someone to decide what panel would be best for you. This panel bypassed my expectations by 100%. If you’re looking for a light weight panel with amazing wattage these panels are for you. Out of the box I’d say they weigh half of what a gallon of milk weighs. They are pretty light, maybe 5-10 pounds tops.

My first solar panels. Good quality, light, and can meet or exceed wattage in good conditions. No issues so far. Would recommend.

May 10th, 2026 - 14:00 (2 PM) - Toronto Area - During initial testing, with the two panels wired in series, the panels were generating in excess of 450 watts into a Bluetti Elite 100 V2... while laying flat on grass! Very Impressive!

Making 390 watts with two panels in series at suboptimal angle (~20 degrees; sun angle currently ~55) at solar noon, April 8, Eastern Ontario (high latitude). Incredible.

Build quality is flawless and packaging was excellent.

Will be buying more.
