The NSA RV Ready Brute Elite II Tow Bar is the ultimate all-in-one flat towing solution. More than just a tow bar, it combines a premium, aircraft-grade aluminum tow bar with the revolutionary, fully integrated ReadyBrake supplemental surge braking system. This system is rated for an 8,000 lb. towing capacity and delivers simple, robust, and proportional braking to your towed vehicle (toad) via a mechanical cable, meeting legal requirements for many states. The second-generation design is even simpler to use with non-binding T-handles and rotating/swiveling clevis connectors, making hookup and unhooking easy, even on uneven terrain. The tow bar weighs only 48 pounds and easily folds and stows on the RV receiver when not in use.     Great item , well built , the only problem was I should have checked really close , the item was not compatible with my older jeep with an aftermarket bumper, other than that I couldn’t see any problems with the tow bar, so I had to return it. Wish I could have used it.

    I searched the whole WWW looking for a decent price for one of these. I had researched what was available on the market and decide that the built in brake system on the NSA Towbar was what I wanted. The price from Amazon beat out all the competition. It is exactly the same product you will find anywhere else for $150 to $400 more. It is very well built, and the tow arms appear to be sturdy. Shipment was very prompt. I'll be taking it on a trip soon and will update my review if I encounter any problems.

    I had the previous version of this tow bar and used it for over 60,000 miles in the U.S. and Canada. I thought it time to get the new version, it locks out better than the old one and overall is easier to use. No need for complicated air pumps and modules installed under the hood of the toad. It's a surge brake the weight of the car activates it and applies the brakes via an aircraft cable attached to the brake pedal in your toad, and it's made in Kansas right here in the USA!

    From all the reading I've done I fully expected a tow bar capable of pulling 8k lbs. The ad here in Amazon does not clearly state what the tow capacity is, but several youtube videographers stated 8k so I moved forward with the purchase. I was sad to see that 6k was the top capacity when I opened the box. I called NSA. I was told this is the exact same tow bar that used to be rated at 8k. But, because they had failures at that weight, they down graded the bar to 6k. Now I have zero confidence using this thing to pull my brand new 2022 Jeep Rubicon. A 60k investment. No way! No freaking way.
