Curt makes some good products, got this due to getting a new camper definitely an upgrade from my old system, kept my truck and camper leveled and ZERO sway at 65MPH on the highway with 18wheelers passing me, it does pop when turning but that’s normal, easy to use perfect for towing your rig!.

The Hummer was marginal. The hitch made all the difference and still retained the surge brakes. Got the front end back down and lifted the rear of the vehicle.

Bouncing is gone. Nose dive when braking is gone.

Tail wagging the dog is gone. It was white knuckle

But they are now. The adjusting bolts ( not multiple washers) are a huge plus. Well built….. it is heavy. I am gonna say that twice. It is heavy. This thing adds between 80 to 100 pounds behind the rear axle. I am glad I got the beefier hitch. 800 to 1000 tongue weight. I had to use a pole tongue adapter as well.

This is the first away control system I’ve purchased. We recently upgraded our camper to a larger one (obviously) so after the first trip, I quickly learned it was time for a system such as this. I had it professionally installed as I don’t have the specific tools necessary to do it myself (that was a tad annoying). But after ponying up the install dough I drove it home and it was well worth it. It’s well made, and easy to use. I definitely recommend it.

This hitch creates a triangle to distribute the weight even for better towing. It has the added benefit of controlling trailer sway as well. Using it on a 30 foot travel trailer and works great.

I bought this because I was going to be pulling a 21ft travel trailer from FL to CT with a 2020 Durango RT. This completely eliminates the squat on my Durango. I installed it myself, but I'm fairly handy and had access to a torque wrench that was good to 450 foot pounds(the ball torque spec).

I since then bought a silverado 1500 that is about to do a round trip with the same trailer, down to FL and back up to CT. I have zero doubts in the hitch. I do reccomend checking the torque specs on all the hardward(minus the ball) before long trips. One of my 3/4 inch bolts was not torqued to 200 foot pounds after my first trip.

Works great.. took a little bit to figure out ball height so it would sit correctly. But it was pretty straightforward.

We bought it to use to pull a travel trailer and it really seems to make it more sturdy and easy to pull. My husband installed it himself in a morning and there is a YouTube video he watched that helped him adjust everything.

Despite everyone telling ME I didn't need a sway bar or adjustable hitch for such a small trailer, I wanted to try it anyway. On the highway with semi trucks pushing and pulling on ME, on windy days, on bumpy roads, etc. MY trailer would still get pushed around. Sometimes enough to cross the line into the other lane.

I immediately noticed a huge difference after installing the CURT sway bar kit. And, I was able to adjust it to find the sweet spot where MY truck doesn't squat as much. This has made long drives so much less stressful. I forget I'm towing sometimes.

Even if you don't NEED a sway bar, check this one out and feel what a difference it makes. You won't want to tow without it again.

*(instructions opinion) Much simpler to install with common sense and the pictures. The directions are over complicated for how simple this install really is, and they leave out a couple things. The order the hitch pieces are installed in is unnecessary. I used the instructions to make sure I put it together in the correct order, but I wish I hadn't. There's an easier way to assemble and get the same result.*

**The instructions never mention anything about tightening the huge set screws.**

***The instructions say not to tighten one of the bolts just yet and you'll tighten them in a later step, but they never come back to it. So don't forget to tighten it.***

A few hiccups in the instructions, but doesn't take away from how great the product is. I still love it!

This was relatively easy to install and is very heavy duty. Should work well.

It is a good product but you need large sockets that ended up costing me around 100 bucks for 2 sockets. The sockets are not a normal size that would be in a regular sock set. Also, the ball was not on and needs to be torqued on. It should come pre torqued.
