The right stuff for the job
I used this to replace the seam sealant on the front cap of my toy hauler where the rubber meets the front cap. It skinned over a little quicker than I expected so it didn't 'level' as much as I thought it would but I was also in direct sun with a decent breeze so that certainly didn't help. Attached picture is if the first pass, about 3/4 of a tube used here. I laid down 2 more beads overlapping this one on both sides. It seems to stick well to the roof/trim and to itself. 2 weeks later it was still quite soft so hopefully it will stay that way and flex rather than crack as the trailer moves. If I could do it again, I would have laid one very thick bead, maybe with a helper with a 2nd gun going and maybe leveled it with a spoon to press it into the creases more. I covered this over with 6" Eternabond though so the sealant is really just the 2nd layer of protection. Several heavy storms later and I'm staying dry so it's doing the job so far.
