Top reviews from the United States

Performance, reliability, convenience. Excellent product!
Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2018I am very pleased with this battery. I have had it for 6 months and it is great. Very reliable, zero maintenance. I have it hooked up to a 300w solar system on my camper van/RV and it charges very fast. I even hooked it up to a 450/900 watt space heater and ran it for 1.5hr on the lower 450 watt setting via a 600w (1200w surge) inverter. It raised the temperate of the RV interior from 55F to 67F in 1 hour (outside temp was 52F with @ 50% humidity in the evening). This was just a test I ran to see what it was capable of. While it did discharge the battery, it performed flawlessly during that time and helped me to learn about how the battery reacts to large loads. The next day I checked on the battery @ noon and it was at full charge from the morning sun. The battery also performed perfectly on a 3k mile, 1 week road trip. It powered the inverter, which fed to 6 LED ceiling lights, a water pump, USB outlets keeping two cell phones, two laptops, one SLR camera, one Dometic fridge running 24/7 without any drop in temperature. Food was always cold. Cold beer in the middle of the desert anytime you wanted. I plan on adding to my solar bank soon with another Battle Born battery and a more powerful inverter so I can run a 1200w water heater and improve the space heater's performance (only as backup in case of extreme cold). I have not contacted customer support yet for any reason but based on other reviews I am confident that area is just as good as the battery itself. I highly recommend this product.
Update (2020): My Battle Born battery was experiencing some minor issue one year in. I would lose power for 2-3 seconds once a day or every couple days. The power would turn off and come right back on again. I contacted Battle Born and they said it was caused by the BMS (battery management system) in batches produced around the time I purchased my battery. I shipped the battery back to them (they paid for shipping) and they sent me a new replacement battery which has been working perfectly for 2 years now. Their customer support is top notch as is their warranty. I will not be buying any other battery except Battle Born as my experience with this battery and the company has been excellent.

Great Drop-In Replacement for RV House Batteries
Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2018Purchased one of these to "dip my toe in the water" into lithium for my RV. So far I am very impressed! I will be looking to add at least one more in parallel soon to increase my capacity.
First the shipping. It was shipped in an oversized box with plenty of molded-foam packing around it, so it arrived in perfect condition. I would not worry at all about damage from shipping with how well they have packaged it. The battery is then wrapped in plastic to (I assume) prevent accidental shorting of the terminals.
What's in the box? Of course the battery, but also 5/16" bolts and nuts. I had overlooked in the description on their site that the bolt set was included, so I was concerned that I would have to figure out how to connect to the terminals myself. But no, the bolt set is included, you're good to go. I'd recommend using cables with 5/16" lugs rather than 3/8" to prevent it from wiggling. I also was able to relatively easily add a terminal-mount catastrophic fuse, although the terminal is a little close to the plastic so I wasn't able to orient the fuse holder the way I wanted it to. Not a big deal though.
I am not sure of the state of charge when I received it, but if I had to guess it was around 50-80%. It still had plenty of juice in it to power some devices after installing it, and it didn't die on me after a few days in storage with minimal load. A few days later I hooked it up to solar and it's been running great ever since.
The battery is nice and light. If you're concerned about weight in your RV, this is a great way to go. In order to get the same amount of usable capacity in lead-acid batteries, it would have added about 100 lbs. I'm happy that I can now double this capacity for just 30 lbs more weight. I'll update the review if I have any problems, but initial results are positive. While you might get more bang for your buck with a custom LiFePO4 setup complete with external BMS, this is so much simpler as a drop-in replacement for a deep cycle battery. The built-in BMS safety measures (under-voltage, over-voltage, short-circuit, low temperature, etc protection) put my mind at ease too.

Great Quality
Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2021Put these in the RV. They have worked very well and we are happy to move away from our wet / lead acid batteries. Really liked the sturdy side post connectors for the wires hooking up to the batteries. Very sturdy. I returned another leading brand because the top posts were so small and flimsy I was having a hard time making all of my connections. Be aware that, for an RV application, you may need to upgrade your controller if you current controller does not have a option to support lithium batteries. My neighbors controller had a switch he could flip for going to lithium. My RV did not. I spent about 250 on my replacement controller and self installed it which was relatively easy in a WFCO power center. Just follow standard safety protocol working with electricity. Some RV owners also need to address an upgrade to their alternator set up if it charges the house batteries and is not set up for the higher voltage of lithium batterie(s). I did not have that issue so I have no insights into that. Lastly if you have solar panels make sure your solar control panel supports lithium. Mine did but sone do not. You can most likely upgrade that too for a couple of hundred bucks if needed. You may also need a lithium charger! They do not come fully charged and there is a requirement to fully charge them before installing to insure proper discharge going forward. The conversion could be a bit pricey, but for me not worrying my batteries making it through the day / night was well worth it. I have had zero battery angst since this upgrade.

Buy it with confidence
Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2021I purchased two of these to replace the lead acid coach batteries in a Coachman CrossFit 22D RV. I put them in as direct replacements with no other modifications to the RV. I then reset the solar charger to Lithium. After 6 months I relocated the batteries form outside the coach to inside under the passenger side sofa. they fit perfectly just in front of the water tank and pump. It has been working flawlessly for over a year. My two lead acid batteries, even though brand new, would run the fridge (yes, it’s a DC electric fridge) and a few lights for about 8 hours before being discharged and disconnecting. These batteries last 28 hours and had an unexpected benefit of making the RV ride a little better as they weigh significantly less than the ones they replaced. They are expensive. But, search for the teardown video on YouTube and you will quickly see what you are paying for. These batteries are worth the cost. Battle Born is a US company in Nevada, and I called them. The tech spent quite while on the phone explaining the built in battery monitor. Yes, the individual cells are Chinese made. But they are very high quality Chinses made, and that does make a difference. I am going to buy two more and double my off the grid battery life. Buy this battery with confidence for your solar applications, for you RV, etc. Do not buy it as a starting battery as it is not well suited for that.

Small off grid situation
Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2020EDIT: Just received my 3rd battery, plan on using that one on its own on a separate solar setup, replacing some CG2 golf cart batteries that are at the end of their lives.
As of today, I now own 2 of these batteries, they work great for me. I purchased the first one last summer, I'm using it on a small off grid solar system, not grid tied. I added the second one just today, hooked up in parallel to keep it at 12 volts but now with 200 amp hours. Since these are LiFePO4 batteries, it's OK to add a new battery to one that is nearly a year old. I contacted the good folk at BattleBorn and confirmed it was fine to do and to confirm the best method of tying them together, which is making sure both are charged fully then to make a parallel connection, connect both negatives together, then connect both positives together.
These types of batteries are expensive, but if you take into consideration the lifespan of the batteries and the fact that you can use up to 100% of the battery capacity, (though it's still best to not use 100%) these are ultimately a bargain in the long run.
One bit of advice, assuming you are using a MPPT charge controller, if you do run the battery down where the internal BMS cuts it off, the MPPT charge controller will not begin to charge the battery if it can't detect the battery, you will need to "jump start" the battery using another power source, we use a portable 12 volt battery jumper, the kind you use to jump start a car battery, once the MPPT charge controller sees some voltage on the battery, it will then allow the battery to be charged.
I really like this battery, it's safe, it's reliable, it's lightweight, no maintenance required, it's bulletproof in the sense that you don't have to baby it (don't really shoot it 🤣).

Poor value for money. The warranty process is slow and expensive, and they arbitrarily deny claims.
Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2025Way overpriced in 2025. 10 year warranty is a pain. I bought 14 of these batteries in 2020, using them in a 7P2S (24V) configuration. One of the batteries recently died. They first advised me how to "wake up" the battery - a perfectly reasonable thing to do. The battery remained dead. Getting a warranty RMA going is OK, but their slow response to emails (two weeks after the RMA I finally got a response with detailed instructions to start the process. These instructions sound imperious and insulting (terms like "not negotiable"). Then, if you don't have the original packaging (I bought these 5 years ago, so I don't have it), their "process" requires 1) sending me an "approved" set of packaging (1 week gone), then I return the battery to them (another week), then 3) allow up to 2-3 weeks for evaluation/repair/replacement, and maybe another week for shipping. Possibly up to 8 weeks to get a replacement, and they charge $349 for postage, which may be eventually reimbursed. If they don't approve the warranty repair, they charge $150/hr for repairs, and you don't get reimbursed for postage. It would be a lot faster and possibly cheaper just to buy another brand at $300 a pop (I bought two and got them installed in three days when I saw how slow things were moving), considering most users actually need their batteries!
At this price, I would just expect them to send me a replacement, and I would be willing to send the broken battery back to them. For the expense, you don't get kid-glove treatment, that's for sure.
Update: they claim the battery failure was due to "misuse" - wrong cables (4 gauge can carry 70 Amps - much more than the 30 Amps actually needed), unmatched cable lengths (mine are matched within an inch - what do they want - a millimeter? They now want me to pay for the repair too - another $150 - so that would be $545 in all for a repair on a 5 year old battery. I am not happy.

PERFECTION MADE IN USA, SUPPORT BATTLEBORN!!!
Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2020Awesome batteries that are made in the USA?!
I have 3 mounted in a bus conversion so weight is kinda important in moving vehicles and thought the batteries were empty inside? 75lbs for 300 amp hours is incredible!
Also, being able to deplete these way more and frequent compared to the others like lead and gel is a huge win!
I had gel before these 400amp hours 300lbs? Really heavy and ALWAYS ran out of juice with those because you can’t go this low with them only lithium ion. I have 300 amp hours of battleborn and no issues at all. No more generator!!
Support this company trust me! Buy once cry once you’ll never regret this! Sell stuff if you have to :)
10 year warranty? Can withstand cold? Internal BCM computer for safety? Made in USA? 25lbs? YES! I’ll be buying more as my solar array grows.
Thanks battleborn for making in America but also making a quality product! We also liked how you shipped them very professional packaging and came in perfect condition! A++

The only LiFePO4 batteries I'll spend my money on
Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2026I've had two of these 100Ah Battleborn batteries for 3 years. I've used and abused them from camping in the summer to ice fishing in the winter and they haven't skipped a beat. I've become very cynical about the quality of products these days due to all the junk out there, this isn't the case with Battleborn, they are top notch!
