Outstanding hitch, easy to assemble, easy to use, absolute unit.

Update: This hitch saved my life today! Was getting towed out of a ditch up hill (400ft). Half way up, the heavy recovery truck's chain slipped and me and my 17100lbs of 45' toy hauler slide !VERY fast! down the hill and ran into a tree that stopped the trailler !solid!

The king pin sheared right off the tow tounge but the pin stayed in the hitch. The hitch held all the force of the F350 dully and it absorbed the shock of the truck which continued to run into the front of the trailer. My gooseneck in the bed is a bit bent forward and the feet of the hitch put deep dents in the bed but it never let go! If this hitch was not built tough, I think the trailer would have went through the back window of the F350!

Heavy as %#*$ but top quality! Everything about this hitch is great. I have a B W gooseneck hitch in the truck an use this to pull my 17k 45ft 5th wheel and love how easy it is to both auto latch the pin and CLEARLY see that it is latched or not. Handles are smooth and easy to operate.

Update: now using the hitch for almost a year on a 17,100 rig 45' 5th wheel and still think this hitch is AWESOME. never had a false hitch and clearly can see if it's fully coupled. Now opinion is I will ALWAYS choose a BW hitch. Solid quality!

I installed my new B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch RVK3500 last week. Although it is very heavy, and will take two persons each time I remove it or set it in place, that inconvenience is worth what appears to be an incredibly solid, well-built hitch. I plan to pull my 38' Mobile Suites (GVWR - 18,000 lbs) several thousand miles this summer. Tried out the hitch for a few-mile ride. Everything worked great. Like the gray color. Love the fact that I did not have to install rails in my pickup bed for this hitch as it uses the gooseneck ball unit (not the ball itself) already installed in my bed.

Quite possibly the best 5th wheel hitch made and it's MADE IN THE USA!!

I am very impressed with this hitch. It's very well built and easy to use. The only draw back is it's weight. I'm 6ft and 200 lbs and almost need a second set of hands to get this in and out of the truck. I can do it by myself but it's a chore. With a second set of hands I can install it in a matter of minutes. I like the the fact that jaws are 1" thick and make 360 deg contact with the king pin, unlike some "economy" hitches. We tend to park our RV in unimproved camp sites so the fully articulating head makes hooking up on the unlevel ground a breeze.

This hitch is more expensive than other "economy" hitches but in this case you really get what you pay for. This hitch should last me 20 yrs or more.

Oh, and did I mention... it's MADE IN THE USA!!

Ready to go! Great Product. I installed into my BW goose neck hitch. Assembly is required, weighs 133 pounds. The coupler can be assembled in various configurations for height and distance. I measured by old truck and hitch and set this one close to that. This avoids a lot of trial and error repositioning the mounts for the right location. Did find like others did, the hardware bag was short several washers, luckily found some and avoided a trip to the hardware store. Also had to run a 1/2-13 tap through the goose neck post threads to facilitate assembly. I could maybe had forced the bolts through, but no. Not worthy of knocking star off because of that, because the hitch is the best I've seen yet. Use a torque wrench. Made in the USA is a huge plus!

This hitch is worth every penny. It is heavy duty and solid! This is the best hitch I have ever owned. It pulls the trailer great and at times I almost forget my trailer is behind me. If you have a B&W turnover ball mount in your truck you need to buy this hitch. The only thing I can gripe about is that it’s a little heavy to load and unload. Make sure you read the assembly instructions carefully and have a torque wrench, you don’t want to half A double S it.

Hitch is super easy to assemble. It literally took me longer to find the 7/16 wrench, than to put this thing together. So easy that even big city folk could even get this thing put together. The construction of the hitch is very good. Welds are good and solid with decent penetration. I’m pulling a 6 ton trailer with this hitch and it’s quiet when pulling and turning. I highly recommended this hitch.

Been pulling our camper with this hitch for about 2 months now. Hitch has been great. No issues at all. Easy to operate and easy to take out and put back in when you need your whole bed.

It arrived on time. In two boxes, and as advertised it is heavy. Not something one person alone would be able to lift in or out of the truck box on their own without some difficulty. But very well built, strong, and should last for many years.
