Seems to be a decent product. Works well if you know how to install them. Watch a video on Youtube on how install one of these before you buy. So, for my 40 something pound hatch I needed 66-88 lbs gas shocks.

The description says these hydraulic soft-close hinges are designed for toy boxes, TV cabinets, and RV cabinets with a quiet, buffer-closing effect. We decided to put them to work on a gun cabinet — and they delivered.

Installation was straightforward and easy, even for a DIY setup. They feel durable and well-made, not flimsy at all. The opening is smooth with a full range, and the closing? Controlled and quiet.

Actually… not just quiet. Practically silent. Come to think of it, I don’t hear them at all — which is kind of the whole point, and they absolutely nailed it.

We’re always on the hunt for budget-friendly options that don’t feel cheap, and this was definitely a win-win. Solid performance, smooth function, and no slamming doors. Exactly what we needed.

It took a while, but finally got one of these struts to work for my home-made utility box with a heavy lid. I bought a set of 45lb rated struts for my 47lb lid. After mounting them on both sides of the box, I realized that EACH strut is rated at 45lb, not combined. Did not see that in the description or instructions. I probably should have bought a set of 25lb struts (=50lbs of force).

For my application, one will do the job, however the brackets flex due to the force placed on one strut only.

Following the instructions for mounting was easy, but required some experimenting for final positioning of the brackets.

strong and sturdy. used these to support a large heavy (40lb) lid on a farm enclosure.

i'm sure there's a scientific method to figuring out how to place them but i just did trial and error and got them placed so they are functioning well. made my wife's daily tasks she enjoys much easier.

I got these to replace the cab lift struts on my Caterpillar skid steer, the mounting brackets are different but I was able to make a minor adjustment to my mounting brackets and got them installed. Definitely holds the cab in place.

I bought a pair of these for a deck box as part of a DIY project. The lid is quite heavy so I bought two 15' 67lb struts. They are well built but my result was that two cylinders were too strong for my lid: it would jump up and was too hard to close. I ended up using just one and it works ok so far. The package included some instruction but it is badly written and confusing, basically useless. I also had to go buy screws as the set does not include any hardware other than brackets. I'd say be careful selecting the appropriate strength and size, and be prepared to watch some instruction online before you can get it right.

Spot on for the price. I used them on a large RV hatch(22”x48”). They worked well. There were no instructions to show direction of the mounting hardware. Initial install wouldn’t allow for it to close, flipped the brackets to create approximately 1” extra inch. What a difference an extra inch make. Opens and closes perfectly. I did add a reinforcement plate on the hatch side. Allowing for a larger foot print. 3”x3” piece of aluminum with 3m tape and additional screws in the corners.

Instructions are horrible. If you aren't experienced in installing a product like this buy a different product with good instructions or videos online showing you how to install. Couldn't get struts to close after multiple attempts and angle adjustments. Ended up throwing it in the garbage.

I was looking for very strong struts for my project to lift quite a heavy door and I have tried 3 different pairs before this one. Only criticism I’d place with mounting brackets, although they are looking substantial, they started to bend when under force, I had to put some extra supports.
