I LOVE these lights!!!
I use them in kitchen cabinets and in hallway closets where there are no wired-in lights. The light housing is metal. There is an included sticky magnet which can be affixed to the light directly or to the object on which the light will reside. The I found the sticky adhesive to be strong, durable. The magnet holding them in place is fairly secure. The time they stay on after they are turned on is only about 30 seconds, so the batteries seem to last. Make sure you have 4-AAA batteries. The lights are very bright and the sensor is very, not overly sensitive to movement. This works well for placing them in metal file drawers and other hidden recesses where light is needed. They are listed as "RV Lights", but they are WAY more useful for all kinds of situations where you cannot install a light, but need one.

    Great lights, but they need 4 batteries each (AAA)

    Dont get disappointed when you realise they didnt ship magnets but sticker back with it..

    Just go ahead and flip those “stickers” over and youll find this to come out to a good motion sensing light.

    Doesnt stay lit for more than 30-60 seconds which is perfect for stairs, opening doors at night…

    Mine have fallen off a couple times. Wish there was only a stronger magnet without adhesive. BUT they do light up great. Battery life is as expected. It's a sensor, so wind, outside cats, people walking by, what else would you expect. Lights up my steps as described. Good little lights.

    Multi-pupose lights are durable and bright, efficient enough to use inside horse trailers and on equipment trailers. They are surprisingly ideal for lighting the back of trailers, and were recently attached to the exterior of a trailer for hayrides. Impressed by the luminous degree of lighting! Impressed by how well they adhere to steel, and wood. Theses light are multi-purpose and can be used in the home and office. They are designed as motion lights, which is a great feature for trailers.

    The reason for the two (2) stars is they will fall off whenever someone walks on the steps. I wonder if they would stick better if the steps were recessed so the weight of a shoe didn’t cause them to fall off.

    The lights work except when they don't. When the temperature gets into the 40's and colder, they don't work until they warm back up. Since it is now winter, I will have to wait until I'm in a warmer region to fully evaluate the lights.

    FOLLOW UP:

    Well, I've had these installed for over a month and 1 of 3 is still working with the original batteries. The batteries on a second unit lasted about 3 weeks and the batteries on the third unit only last about 2 days. This is with very little usage as we don't go out much at night. When they work they are great, but they are battery hogs. As a result I'm removing a star in the rating.
